Manufacturer Code 37400-0027
Dimensions 0.825" X 1.4"
This Seal has been replaced by the Shaft Seal (17351-0101s) if you order this seal, you will receive the new part number. They are comparable.
This pump shaft seal is used on many Sta-Rite models including the Dura-Glas II, Max-E-Glas II, Dyna-Glas, Dyna-Max, JWPA Series, ABG Series and more. A complete list of pumps that use this seal can be found under the "Parts" tab above.
This is a two-part mechanical seal with standard rubber. For greater resistance to corrosion from salt systems and chemicals, there is an equivalent seal with Viton rubber 5057-30.
Is this the correct seal for my AO Smith USQ 1202? I have a slow drip at the base of the flange. I'm thinking it may be this seal? Thx

The shaft seal is based on the front pump housing model that the motor is mounted to. We'd need that in order to cross reference which shaft seal you need.

does this seal fit a flotec pump. what is the part number for shaft seal FP5172-08 or the cross reference number for this seal PLEASE.

Hi, QT. Unfortunately, I'm unable to confirm if this Pump Shaft Seal - 37400-0027S will fit the FP5172-08. The part diagram I've does not list the pump seal as a separate part that I can use to cross reference.

I have a StaRite model number JPWA5YFL-A the pump is nosiey whines do you think its this seal or is there a bearing some where causing this?
Reply
Hi Richard, that is a sign that the bearings are going bad and normally it is easier and more cost effective to just replace the entire pump. I would suggest the PureLine Pure Pro XL 1.5 HP at $139

I have a horizontal discharge on current pump and a 115volt twist prung plug three conductor

Hi Richard, You can rotate the PL1502 by following this Guide on How to Rotate the Discharge on Pure Pro XL to Horizontal As far as the Twist Lock Cord goes, you can remove the cord from your current pump and re-install it on the new pump, or you can purchase this New 3' Twist Lock Cord and Install it with the new pump.

Easy to install. Leak stopped and reduced pump noise. (Replaced o-rings at the same time, a cheap fix so you don't have to go in again)

need to include the proper lube even if it added a couple of cents to the price.
