With regard to this 2" coupling, 114-2279142-2801868, is this a standard coupling that can be purchased at Home Depot or is there something special about it (on one of the INYOPOOL postings, I think I read that the PUMP couplings had to be different because they needed to have more internal depth). My pool pump has a two inch outlet, so I assume these will fit it.

Hi, Jessy. This Union Assembly is similar to other 2" Slip x 2" Slip complete unions sold at Home Depot, just manufactured by Waterway Plastic. This union is designed to be installed between two sections of pvc pipes as shown in Step 19 of Inyo's How To Install a Pool Sand Filter guide.

Maybe you answered this already...
Is this 1 union or 2? Obviously pool heaters have an IN and an OUT (I need two unions).
Do I need to purchase 2 of these unions or does 1 order come with 2?

These are 2-inch unions and are sold individually.

great fit. sturdy construction and it allows me to take apart my plumbing work (with the valves) and put it in the shed for the winter.
