Aftermarket Pentair 2" Side Mount Multiport Valve w/ Plumbing for FNS Plus. This is comparable to the Pentair 261152.
I presume that this product is for the full assembly? This includes the valve body, correct? Basically, everything shown in the picture is included?

Will this be a good fit for a replacement for the Hayward so 715 with. Triton 140 DE filter?

Hi Ed, Back in the day Purex / Pentair used Hayward valves on there Purex Triton filters however some while back Pentair started making there on valves. With this being said there are two valves which can be used on your filter the Hayward SP715ALL Valve or the Pentair 261055 Valve. The 261055 valve is a lot easier. There is a Slight difference in this and that old SP715 valve which has the pump and return ports one above the other. The 261055 will have them slightly staggered. The advantage of the 261055 Valve is that you won’t have to redo the plumbing coming from valve to filter. The SP715ALL Valve will have to be re-plumbed with new bulkhead nuts and pipe and the plumbing will have to be quite exact or the bulkhead nuts on the valve won’t match the spacing on the filter.

My valve is the Praher model # SM20-1, serial # 1924442. Can you please tell me which of the parts fit this valve? The valve positions are facing the sky and the filter feed is to a DE filter. I am losing pool water and I think it is escaping through the backwash or waste water pipes.
Thank you,

Hi Joe, for the issue with your SM20-1 valve I would suggest replacing the your SM20-1 Handle Assembly here.

Is the sm2-pp2 praher valve the correct replacement for my original #sm2-02 praher valve, used on a Jandy DEL 48 d.e. filter?

The Valve, Sm W/plumbing 2" P.f. D.e. (sm2-pp2) will not work on your Jandy DEL 48 D.E. Filter. Since you're replacing the complete valve you can replace your valve with the Jandy 2" Standard Multiport Valve For DEL48 & DEL60 or the MPV, 2", Piping Var. 2 (Fpt ) (SM-20-2).

After extensive pool company visits without resolution, I began to do what I should have done first...EXHAUST ALL DIY RESOURCES. For example INYOPOOLS.com.
I took apart the multiport valve and started with the basics. During reassembly, I found two almost unnoticeable hairline cracks. I used the INYOPOOLS.com website to match the part for replacement.
The pictures and tech support allowed me to order the correct part confidently (Multiport Filter Valve). Once ordered I received it within three business days. The part was simply a threaded attachment that required some Teflon tape on the pipe threads for installation.
The pump system has been maintaining 15psi for over 100hrs without a change in pressure. The overlooked part, during the service visits, resulted in air being drawn into the system causing high psi pressures.
***THE NEXT RECOMMENED STEP BY THE POOL TECHS WAS A $350 PRESSURE TEST & PUMP MOTOR REPLACEMENT***
1 to 2 hrs
Adjustable Wrench, I used a large Oil filter wrench to loosen and tightened the valve fittings.

This was easy repair as this was an exact match to what I had. Turn off all pool feed valves. Drain DE Filter prior to removal of Valve. Unscrew the old valve, pull out. Place new valve and attach by screwing coupling fittings to existing lines.. Easy to do..

(5 out of 5 stars) Great backwash valve

The valve arrived well packaged and in one piece and it has been working for a week now. I had the unforuntanate experience of buying a similar valve from another vendor, and it arrived broken in multiple pieces, so I lost another two weeks trying to get a refund. The valve installed easily on my DE filter and I am thrilled to have a functioning pool again. I only wish I would have started with INYO pools first...
