Pros: it works and can be cut to fit
Cons: none yet.
We bought an older house with an original pool. The strainer was custom made from concrete and we've already had to get a friend to custom fit a stainless steel basket. There was no flap to prevent the leaves from going back into the pool. I didn't expect to find a pre-made flap until I located this 10in one. I saw a video about it on youtube where the guy had to cut off a 1/4in to make it fit and I was able to do the same. There was a small indent on the sides of the skimmer opening to attach the flap so I shaped the spring loaded mounting posts to a narrower point and it fit great. I originally found the item on another web site and after some shopping I found inyopools had the better price by a few dollars. It shipped in a few days.
