Local Display P-4 & PS-4 (Pre-03/11) - GLX-LOCAL-P-4
I need to replace my Goldline AQL-P4 Aqua Logic automation control. I only have a pool with a pool light. I think the board is out on it. What model can I replace it with reasonably? Will it fit into the other outside casing I have. Is it remote as well? Can I reprogram my old remote to match with it.

Hello Russ - The main board for the Aqua Logic is part number GLX-PCB-MAIN. This board will fit in your existing box. The old remote should have no issues communicating with this board.

some buttons on display panel don't work, such Menu and RT Arrow. but others work power and lights, do i need to replace the board?

Hi Roger, It's a good change that this Display is bad, not the board.

The display on my controller is not providing any info just a blank screen. Do l need to replace it

Hi Bob, It's possible that the Local Display is bad, first I would recommend following the troubleshooting instruction on page 10-11 in the Pro Logic Version 4.10 Diagnostics Manual to find out if the PCB or Display is the culprit.

When it rains my local display stops keeping time. Several hours after the rain the clock starts to work again and I would reset the clock to the correct time. My display does not go blank and My panel is water tight so no rain is getting into the panel. All other functions are working correctly on my display. Do I need to replace the display for the clock to maintain time when it rains?

Hi Joey, It's weird that this is happening only when it rains. Before replacing the display you will have to make sure that the problem is the display or else you will keep having this problem.

1. Turn off circuit breaker to pool box (I recommend doing entire box vs just the electronics).
2. Verify no power by attempting to turn on pool electronics.
3. Compress all 4 push pin tabs that hold display in place, gently pull forward and disconnect any wiring to back of display.
4. Inspect push pins to ensure they are in good condition.
5. Connect any wiring to back of new display and gently push onto board connectors/push pins.
6. Re-connect power to your pool box and setup new display!

This is the exact replacement display controller unit that I needed, due to my old one was destroyed by lighting in the area. I also had to replace my Main control board. The only problem I found with this Hayward AquaLogic Local Display Keypad - GLX-LOCAL-P-4 controller is the Salt readings are not the same as the tests from the Leslie Pool store in my area. They read 3200 ppm of salt and the controller readout is 3900 ppm of salt. I have had this controller since late August 2023. I have no idea why there is so much of a difference between the two readouts. Price for Hayward AquaLogic Local Display Keypad - GLX-LOCAL-P-4 was around $300.00

My old controller failed. No display but I could run the filter until the new one arrived. I removed the 2 screws holing the face plate, unplugged the old and plugged in the new. Took me longer to get a screwdriver.
