Hello, from the code 09848 matches with a 2" astral and the spider gasket is Spider Gasket (07441r0002) which is no longer available on our site.

Hello.  The Astral Spider Gasket (19028R0204) is the correct replacement gasket for the Astral Multi-Port model 22358.  The valve incorporates a bayonet-style closing system, replacing bolts, for dismantling.  Twisting the Key Assembly counterclockwise will remove the upper portion of the valve exposing the spider gasket.  It is recommended that the Cover O-ring be replaced at the same time.  The Cover O-ring part number is 723r1400040.   O-ring Cover, Mpv 22355 (723r1400040)

I have (I think) a Millenium sand filter, about ten years old, the only model number readable is SFM035384, will this work with that model?

We will need to see images of the top of the multiport valve from the top showing any information from the label. Another image of the whole filter body from the top to bottom and any labels on it. The images will help us to identify the model information to make the correct suggestion.
