what repair kit would be best for a Hayward super 2 pump 1hp inground? it is leaking water on the bottom. thanks.

Hello, we don't have SPXHKIT2, for the Hayward Super II Parts we have GOKIT2 which has Motor Shaft Seal, Diffuser Gasket, Pump Lid O-Ring, Housing Gasket, Lubricant. Then for saltwater we have GOKIT2SALT which are the same seals made for saltwater pools. Then there is Seal Assembly Kit (seal,housing And Dif.gasket) - SPX3000TRA which just has pump seal, housing and diffuser gasket.

Hi, Don. Yes, this kit can be used with a saltwater or non-saltwater pool. However, Part # GOKIT2SALT is preferred.

Replacing the gaskets on my 10 year old pool pump was easy
1) removing the pump was the hardest task.there where no unions installed s
So had to be cut out and unions installed
2) unbolted the pump from the motor
3) removed the diverter
4) removed the impellers
5) installed the new gaskets
Bolted back togeather and reinstalled
Inyo has a video on this and made it easy

Need to include instructions with kit. Had to dig up old owners manual for instructions to remove impellar. A little slow also in processing order. Took 2 days. Should have been processed in 1 day.
