I have a Hayward H400IDL (not IDL1 or IDL2 according to the manual) and I am confused whether the older bypass valve kit is required or the newer one (i.e. HAXBPK1931 or HABPK1932), or whether either one works. The pool was built in winter 2002.
The manual part numbers for the individual pieces end in 1930. Can you shed any light on this?

Hi, DJW. This By-Pass Valve Kit (Pre 10-28-00) - HAXBPK1931 will work with you model heater is you still have the original header assembly.

Is there any reason to change or update the header assembly to the newer style? Just curious.

Hi, DJW. It will include the new style By-Pass Kit so trying to figure out which one to get will not be an issue.
