Can just the spider gasket be purchased for the Jacuzzi mfm 24 filter?

Unfortunately the Spider Gasket cannot be purchased by itself for the Jacuzzi mfm 24 sand filter. The least expensive way to purchase the spider gasket is by purchasing the diverter with the spider gasket glued onto the diverter listed here.

Do you know what part I need to replace if water is always leaking out of my waste port?

If you are leaking out of the drain port while on filter, the gasket on the key assembly (key #13) may be to blame. You can take a look at a breakdown of the valve here.

Does the repair kit for DV6/DV7 include the spider gasket with it? I could not tell from the pictures.

Clint, The Diverter Repair Kit DV6/7 (39251509RKIT) will work on the original DV6 and DV7 multiport valve that is used on the Jacuzzi Laser 192 Sand Filter.

Purchased the repair kit for my diverter on pool filter. removed pin holding handle. removed 6 screws holding diverted together. made note of the position of the parts inside. removed them cleaned up the housing. placed the new parts in place closed the diverted back together. replaced the 6 screws tightly with an alternate pattern until they were all tight. placed the handle in place. replaced the holding pin and moved the handle to divergent positions.

gasket was torn

Easy repair.....I bought the replacement kit and used 2 bar clamps to compress the spring until I could drive the pin out of the handle. Simply replace the parts and use the clamps again to drive the pin back in. Take note of the alignment of the handle and the shaft and new gasket piece. Whole thing took about 10 minutes.

Junk Blowing Back Into Pool

Written on 5/9/2019 by Guest

Removed 6 bolts at the top of where the dial is on my Jacuzzi sand filter. Removed the old diverter, popped in the repair kit replacement and done! No more junk in the pool! I have been dealing with this for two years. Had a pool maintenance/installer come out to look at all my equipment (16 years old) and said I needed a new filter...for $800! But he messed up and showed me what was probably the cause.... the diverter gasket was shot..... so I looked it up through INYO pools and fixed it literally in 10 minutes.

The spider packing wore out because not fully lifting the handle.

First remove the 6 screws with nuts, with the assembly off, remove the handle by pulling out the pin. Remember in whitch position you remove the diverter, in my set up the big gap was at six with the handle in test mode. Use a plies to down the spring and put the handle pin. Then assemble it to the filter head.
