Hello. In the past I have replace my spa light with the Halco 100W R20 12Volt lamp. I would like to convert to LED. Is the PL5846 compatible? Thank you for your time.

Being that you have been using an R20 bulb then you likely do have a model that is compatible with the LED replacement bulbs but it would be wise to confirm your light model with either the Hayward Astrolite, Pentair Amerlite, or the Jacuzzi Full Moon. These are the models that are indeed compatible with those LED bulbs. The model of your light should be located on the label on the back side of the light.

What is the equivalent wattage of this bulb in incandescent form? I currently have a 300w bulb, will this be a good replacement?

If you have a 300 Watt 12V Bulb then the equivalent in White LED is the PL5848 12V White LED Pool Bulb

My Pentair SpaBrite is currently fitted with a 100W 12V tungsten lamp. Is your lamp compatible and is the light output equal?

And is the light output equal?

Hi, Peter. This LED bulb is equivalent to a 75 watt incandescent bulb.

I'm probably getting to be annoying by now. My pool is not in USA an my AC supply is 50Hz, not 60Hz. Does this affect the bulb? I'm expecting the answer, 'No, your transformer should convert from 220V 50Hz AC to 12V DC. Go check it!'
Reply
Hi, Peter, These bulbs are not rated at 50 Hz, only 60 Hz. We do not have a bulb that is able to use 50 Hz electricity.

I have a Pentair 7810 pool light that has a 12VAC, 100W, R20 halogen lamp. Would this be a suitable replacement bulb? Also, would it be roughly the same brightness as the 100W?
Reply
Hi Chuck, yes if you have a threaded screw in style bulb then this would be the proper replacement.
