will this motor fit a Pentair Whisperflo high Perfofmance pump

It might be - or it might not be.  The motor frame matches the WhisperFlo pumps so it will fit, but you will want to match the horsepower of the existing motor as closely as possible for efficiency and for the life of the new motor.  Check our guide on How To Choose The Right Replacement Pool Pump Motor or send us pictures of the old motor label or pump model to us at upload@inyopools.com and we will be sure to recommend exactly what you need.  Don't forget to change the seals when you install the new motor for a leak-free installation.

When I removed the plastic end cap, I noticed a black wire with a terminal not connected. Do I need to hook this up to one of the switch tabs? If so, which one. Please see picture attached Jim Patterson 678-986-4554

Hello James, yes the wire does need to be plugged back in. Here is a diagram to help.
