Will this motor fit my hayward super pump 3/4 hp?
Reply
Yes this motor will fit a Hayward 3/4 HP Super Pump but can only be wired 115V, so if you need to wire 230V then at this time there is not a digital speed motor available.

Does it work on Above ground pool (without damaging the pool liner)
And does it come with a normal 115v outlet plug so we can plug it to a GFI outlet ?) we don't use outdoor breaker box.. we only have a 115V GFI outdoor outlet.
Lastly will it fit Jaccuzi 2 speeds 1hp pump ?
Reply
It doesn't come with the cord but it would fit your jacuzzi above ground pump.

Cab it be used as replacement motor for a hayward pump.

Hi Carlos, This motor can be used on Hayward pumps. If you can provide the pump model and or motor mod I can confirm if this motor will be the correct replacement.

Would this motor replace the HAYWARD A O SMITH MODEL #C48K2N143B1?
I have a rotary timer - would I have to take this out in order to install this motor with digital timer?
Is there any additional part I ought to get along with this?
Reply
Hi Nadine, This B973T motor can be used as a replacement for the C48K2N143B1 motor if you have 115 volts. If the motor is the only item being powered by the timer you can remove the trippers and wire the motor to the timer just for power. I would recommend replacing the pump seal and o-rings but we will need to know the model of the pump in order to locate the correct seals.

I currently have a Hayward Super Pump (SP2610X15) with an AO Smith 1.5 HP Motor (C48L2N134B1) and am looking for a variable speed replacement. Would this pump do the trick?
Reply
Hi, Gokhan. The B973T motor is not a variable speed motor, it's a dual speed. The ECM16CU along with the Hayward Super Pump Tune Up Kit GOKIT3 or GOKIT3SALT would do the trick.

I'm just checking to make sure this motor will fit a Hayward Super Pump model # C48J2N131C1C and if you can offer any discounts?
Thank you,

Yes, that motor will fit your Super Pump but you will need to upgrade your impeller if you go with that motor, part number 5110-10CA.

I really wanted to switch to a variable speed pump but I only have 115V connection. Changing to 230V is not an option at this time. Will this pump fit my Haywood SP2602X10? The current motor on this is an AO smith's C48K2N143C1C. HP=1 SF=1.1.
Reply
Hi. Yes, the B2973T motor can be used as a replacement. Operating the motor at low speed will is only adequate with a Feet of Head at 15. The Hayward Super Pump Tune Up Kit GOKIT3 or GOKIT3SALT is recommended when replacing the motor.
Reply
On the previous question it was stated that this motor would not be adequate at greater than 15 feet of head. My pool is 18 x 36 approximately 29000 gallons, I have 1 1/2" piping and the flow rate is 60 GPM.I have only 1 skimmer located at the deep end about 36 feet away from pump. I have 4 inlet lines running off the same line about 25 feet from pump. I do not have any additional accessories like water falls, heaters, etc. Can you tell me the feet of head?
Reply
Hi, Laura. Your feet of head is about 45 on the suction side. We will also need to know the model of the pump housing that this motor will be operating to find out if this motor will provide adequate water flow on low speed.

I have a oe smith 3/4 hp
k48k2n104 will this motor work as a replacement?
Also which shaft seal kit should i use
Reply
This can be used as a dual speed replacement as long as the control box does not interfere with the pump housing design. Also, keep in mind these need to be wired at 110 volts.
Reply
the model number on the pump head is long gone do i have to pull the impeller for the number.
{I'd like to keep my panels going during this cold California spring]
Reply
You should not need to pull the impeller to find a part number on it in order to identify the pump model. It should be molded into the impeller face. If you cannot locate a pump model then you can send in a few images of the front pump housing through our support request page so we can try and identify it.

Will this motor replace C48K2N143C1C mated to a post 1984 Haward Max Flo pump? Will I need a new impeller? I am also worried about having to modify the pump cradle after reading previous reviews.
Reply
Yes, this dual speed motor is a compatible replacement. Just keep in mind that this one only works with 110 volts. You can use the same impeller and the motor will the same thickness.

I have a Hayward Superpump SP2610x15. The motor on the unit right now is 1 Hp with SF of 1.1 and it's wired as 110V. Would this motor act as a replacement as 1.5hp is too much pump for my DE filter.
Reply
Hi, Joel. It appears that the motor was downsized to a 1HP uprate pump if the current motor is rated at 1hp with an SF of 1.1. In this case you can use this Century B2973T 2-Green Motor. I would also recommend double checking the impeller # before purchasing and if on low speed this motor will provide adequate water flow.

Is this a suitable replacement for my Hayward SP2607X10 with a UST1102 motor (C48K2N143C1C)? I need to replace my motor and would like to upgrade to something more efficient and quieter. I only have 115V.
Thanks.
Reply
Hi, Fil. Yes, this Century B973T Motor is compatible with the SP2607X10 operating at 115 volts. I would also recommend getting the Hayward Super Pump Tune Up Kit - GOKIT3 or GOKIT3SALT.

Can I use this to replace the motor in my SP2607X10 (1 HP - Service factor 1.1)? I will also have to buy the Sp2607-c impeller, correct?
Reply
Hi. Yes, you can use this 2-Green Motor - B973T with model SP2607X10 using the same impeller and using 115 volts. The SP2607C is the correct impeller for your model pump using this motor. I will also recommend that you get the Hayward Super Pump Tune Up Kit - GOKIT3 or GOKIT3SALT.

Is it possible to remove the timer at a later date and run the extra high voltage line to have my Hayward AquaPlus manage the speeds? Will the pump need any accessories to do this? Will it void the warranty?
Reply
Hi. You're not able to bypass or remove the controller of this motor. Making any changes to the motor or the controller will void the warranty.

I have a Leslie Hydromax pump, spx3010c 1hp impeller, and a Century 1 Hp. Centurion switchless Motor B128 with a 115 volt feed to the pool. Could I use this motor if I got a 3/4 hp impeller?

I am considering switching to SWG, but I do not have a stand alone timer. Is it possible/easy to connect a SWG to a pump/timer combo similar to B973T? Or are there SWG that have auto flow control, or a built in timer?
Thanks,
Robb
Reply
Hi, Robb. You cannot operate an SWG using the Timer on this motor. However, you can wire this motor directly to the breaker and install a timer to operate the SWG.

Will this motor work as a replacement of my super pump C48J2N131B1? If not, is there a dual speed motor that will? Thanks!!

Hi, Jeremy. Yes, it will if you're using 115 volts to power your current motor.

Will this work with my current 1hp Hayward super pump?

If you are currently using the original Hayward Super Pump motor that came with the unit then yes this motor would be a suitable replacement.

Is this two speed motor a good replacement for the existing .75hp motor on my Jandy Stealth JHP pump. The current motor that came with it is an A.O. Smith Centurt Centurion part number 7-193631-24. The Frame number is S56J. I have 115 voltage currently.

I have 5,500 gallon in ground fiberglass pool. I currently have a Hayward SP2607X10. (By my calculations, it is way oversized.) Considering replacing the current 1 HP motor with this 2 speed motor. My concern is about the solar panels to heat the pool during the day. Would this motor be capable of moving sufficient water up to the roof panels while operating at a lower speed? (I'm figuring I would need to start at full power for a few minutes to prime the panels that drain down at night)
Reply
Hi, H Mark. Unfortunately, this motor operating the SP2607X10 pump will NOT be sufficient to move water through the panels at low speed, only at high speed.

I need to replace the motor on my Hayward SuperPump for a saltwater in-ground pool. Would this pump be a direct replacement for an AO Smith C48J2N131 (3/4 hp 56j frame)? I am also looking at the GOKIT3SALT kit for when I install the new pump, is this the correct seal kit?
Thanks
Reply
Hi, Slade. This B973T motor can be used if you're using 115 volts. GOKIT3SALT is also the correct kit.

I'm replacing a 10 year old AO Smith motor, 3/4 hp...ST1072...56J frame...115v...will this work for me? Also, what tune-up kit do you recommend? The impeller seems to be okay, but it's at least as old as the pump; should I replace it? Lastly, I have limited space above the motor due to PVC pipe going to the filter; how much room do I need above to be able to open the timer cover? Thanks!
Hi John, Yes this will work for you if you are wiring 115V. The cover is about 6 inches so you will need at least 6 inches of space above the motor to full lif the lid. Could you send us a wide shot photo of the complete pump to show the pipes going in and out of the pump? This would allow us to suggest the proper seal kit and impeller. Simply click the reply link below to upload your photos.

Thanks Patrick here’s the pic
Hi John, Thanks for the photo! You will need this Hayward Super Pump Seal Kit and this Hayward Super Pump Impeller
Reply
Perfect! Just one more thing: I need an elbow connector for the conduit that goes into the pump motor...do you carry that? Thanks again!
Reply
Hi John, I'm sorry we don't carry that part but I believe you can pick that up at a local hardware store.
Reply
Okay...after a little more research, I'm considering a variable speed pump, but I don't see a 115 V compatible motor. What do you recommend? thanks
Reply
Hi John, For 115V Variable Speed then you will need to replace the complete pump with this 1.4 HP Waterway Variable Speed Pump 115V/230V This ports on this pump are not in the exact same spot as your current pump so you will have a little re-plumbing but nothing major.

Last one I promise: just want to double check that the flange on the 2-speed Century motor is compatible. Does that check with you? Thanks!
Reply
Hi John, Yes the flange on the 2 speed century does match your Hayward Super Pump in your photo and is the correct motor.
Reply
Hello again, Patrick. First, the motor and all the parts arrived quickly, as promised. Installation was straightforward and with the help of a couple of your videos it went well. So now the pump is working again, but on the High setting, after about 3 minutes, I get a Fault 12 code: "Overload Fault, Remove Power and Check Impeller Size". The motor seems to work fine on low speed, but high speed results in Fault 12. Any ideas? Thank you!
Reply
Hi John, I have never run across that fault code but it implies that the impeller is too powerful for the motor but that should not be the case as the motor has a True HP of 1.13 and the Impeller you ordered has a True HP of 1.1. You don't want your impeller True HP to exceed your motor True HP and that is not the case here. We could send out an impeller with a True HP of .75 and see if that resolves the fault code. Let me know if you would like for me to do that?

Hayward super pump installed in 2013. I’m now on my 3rd or 4th century replacement motor. Usually Run 24 hours in summer and freeze protection runs it in winter. Provide me with some efficient options that will reduce power consumption from the EE replacement to energy star certification. Provide me options and it doesn’t have to be Hayward unless the warranty is that of other high dollar appliances. Thank you

Hi Brannon, Could you send us a few photos of your pump and motor? Please take a close up shot of the motor label as well as a wide shot of the complete pump to include the pipes going in and out of the pump. To supply photos simply click the reply link below and upload your photos. Once we get those photos we can make the proper recommendation.

Hi Brannon, You can upgrade the motor on your Hayward Super Pump to this 1.65 HP Variable Speed Motor If you wanted to take advantage of the higher speeds of this motor then I would suggest upgrading to this 1-1/2 HP Super Pump Impeller and you will need this Hayward Super Pump Seal Kit when you replace your motor. There are a few items of note the VSP motor suggested can only be wired 230V and not 115V. If you want something that integrates with Prologic where you can adjust the speeds of the motor from inside with the ProLogic then you might want to consider the Hayward Super Pump Variable Speed Pump.
Reply
Continuing on with my original reply. Here is an article showing the Expected Savings by going with a Variable Speed Pool Pump. Also if you go with the replacement motor option then your Prologic will turn the pump on and off and then the programming in which you set on the controller of the motor will take over from there. If you go with the complete new Super Pump Variable Speed Pump then all of the programming would be done by the Pro Logic controller.
