I've used salt system with my last pool. Will I still need one with your Pro filter system

Hello Linda - You don't have to use a salt system with the NE6157 Pro Style Filter System. If you don't use a salt system, you will want to use a chlorine tablet feeder.

Will this system work with my 24' round pool and will I need to buy anything else to hook this system up to my pool?

Hi Ruby yes this will work for your 24' round pool and comes with all the hoses and connectors. All you would need to purchase would be the sand which goes inside of the sand filter.

Can I use this filter and pump for a tiny 3000 gal in ground pool? Does it have a drain or skimmer?

Hi Candace, This pump and filter system cannot be used on an inground pool as it is not a self priming pump, meaning that since the pump is above the water level of the pool this pump would not be able to pull the water to it. Since you have an inground pool you will require a self priming pump. I would suggest the Hayward Power-Flo II Pump along with the Hayward Star Clear Filter. Please note that the pump is 115V.

I have a 27' round above ground pool. I need a new pump and would like to also get a filter at the same time. How many HP pump will be required to keep the pool clean. What is the difference between a sand filter and the one I have that uses the white DE.

Hi Elaine, I would suggest a 1-1/2 HP pump for a 27' Round pool. The difference between cartridge and DE is that a DE filter can filter out smaller particles than a cartridge filter, however a cartridge filter is easier to maintain. For your pool I would suggest a 1-1/2 HP Pump With 100 Sq. Ft Cartridge Filter here.

How well will this work for 24" round pool 52" deep? I am concerned HP might be lacking.

Have an in-ground pool with 18,500 gal. capacity. understand this sand filter would be OK for this size poo. How easy would it be for a homeowner to install, if so what is needed?? Thanks

Unfortunately this pump filter package would not be sufficient for your pool for it is designed for an above ground pool. Please review our in ground pool pump filter packages.

Will this pump and filter work on an above ground pool that is 12 wide by 24 long and 52 inches deep? And is the motor 115 volts? Unsure of gallons in pool.

Is it a difficult job to install the 125lbs. of sand.....or does it come with sand?

Hi Robert, The filter does not come with sand It is too heavy to ship and is relatively inexpensive at a local HW store. Use only high rate No. 20 Silica Sand like Quikrete Pool Filter Sand. Adding sand is fairly straight foward. Here's a link to the Sandpro Pool Filter System Owner's Manual showing you how to add sand to the filter.
