Does the motor have a twist lock plug?

No this motor does not have a twist lock plug. The closest system we have to this system with a twist lock plug would be the Hayward Xstream 100 Sq. Ft. Filter with 1 HP Pump & Twist Lock Cord. You could also always go with this system and purchase the Twist Lock Cord separately.

Hi Ray, This system is too much for a 10' X 30" pool. We don't have a system that is small enough but the VL40T32 will do.

We just purchased a above ground Intex 18' x 48" round pool. Would this pump be sufficient or is it to much HP.

Hi RC, This system is more than you need but will be sufficient.

Do you have a picture of this system from the other side. I would like to see the water hookup fittings.

I apologize, but I do not have a back side picture of that Easy Clear filter.

Hello, would this work with an 18x24 oval above ground pool? And does it come with a cartridge, or do I need to order that separately? (If yes to ordering the cartridge can you specify which cartridge to order?). Thanks!

Hi Melissa, yes this system would work for an 18' x 24' oval above ground pool. The cartridge is included with this system, however it is a good idea to have an extra cartridge on hand and here is the link to an Extra 40 Sq. Ft. Replacement Cartridge

Our pool is an Intex 26' round above ground. It says 52" but the water level is actually 48" (4'). There are nearby trees and we have always had issues with the filters only lasting days. Since opening the water stops flowing through the filter in <12 hours. The water is almost clear, but still fuzzy. Spring tree bits still falling on it by the hour. Will this do the trick for us?

That is definitely going to be night and day compared to the Intex filter you received with the pool.

Will this system work on my 16x32 oval above ground 15,000 gallon pool? Also, will the Hayward Hayward SP0727 Perflex Diverter Valve work with this system so I can backwash to waste. I am seriously considering changing from a sand filter to this system. Please give me any suggestions on the pros and cons of changing over to a cartridge system. I have researched, but still having trouble deciding. Thanks

That pump/filter combo would be a great improvement. The cartridge filter is going to filtrate you water better than the sand filter so you will see clearer water in your pool. As for backwash, you do not backwash cartridge filters.

Is it possible to bypass filter to maintain circulation when servicing the filter?

Hi, R. You can only if you assemble the unit without the cartridge inside of the unit.

How often should you clean the filter under normal conditions?
 Reply

A  Answered on 1/22/2018 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Justin. You normally would clean the filter once the pressure rises 7-10 psi above the starting pressure.

What would be the normal psi range on this filter for a 15ft round pool.

Hi, Lina. When it comes to filter psi, normal is not a good term. The filter pressure will vary based on water flow, filter size, water clarity etc. There is not a good answer to your question.
