I have a Hayward 3202vsp pump that won’t turn on. The 220 to the pump is fine, but I have nothing on the interface display. Is the module a common problem? The pump is one month out of warranty. Thanks

Hi. This is not a common problem. My recommendation will be to replace the entire Drive Assembly - SPX3400DR. A bad Control Interface will allow the motor to operate, you will not be able to edit or view what the motor is doing.

I have a 2 month old Tristar VS2.7 VSP model SP3206VSP. The drive is showing error “Check system: Communication failed. Check wiring between display and drive” i have pulled covers off to check wiring, motor rotates freely and electrically checks good, no problems or any wiring. Is this the right part for that drive interface?
Hi, Dean. The "Check System Communication failed" is an issue between the Motor Assembly - SPX3400Z1ECM and the Motor Drive - SPX3400DR. Recheck that connection. If the unit is two months old, it under warranty and can be taken care of.

I have Hayward sp3200vspnd pump (5 years old) that failed with "low DC error" message. I will check the Line Voltage to be sure it is high enough before ordering any parts. The pump doesn't have display on it, I suspect the electronic controlled to have failed. What is the correct electronic controller for this model? Can I use a display version of display if so what model of controller should I buy?

Hi, Craig. The Drive Assembly for that model is not available since it was designed to be controlled by the ProLogic controller. The error that you're getting has to do with low input voltage.

Hello, I have a Hayward TriStar VS, and the other day I had a sprinkler line burst and get the whole area pretty wet and tripped a few CB. Now, the pump display has nothing showing. Checked the wiring and all lines have power. Thinking either the display is dead or possible the entire DR. SPX3200DR is listed as for the EcoStar, is it the same for the TriStar?
I have a SPX3200VSP and I randomly get an error message saying "check wiring between display and drive". It doesn't happen every day and it is usually cured by rebooting the pump but I am afraid that it is only going to get worse over time. Is this a warning that the display is about to go or the drive? Thx.

Hi, Peter. Unfortunately, it hard to tell. It will have to be resolve by replacing one part, the other, or both.

I have a sp3202vspnd Hayward pump, the pump does not turn on and pro logic controller reads vsp comm error, have reset breaker multiple times with no results. Still continues to read vsp comm error and pump wil not run

Hi Andrew, try completely disconnecting the pump from the controller. If the pump works then the problem is in the Pro Logic controller. If the pump still does not work then the problem is probably in the pump's interface. Issues like this are difficult to diagnose; it will have to be resolved by replacing one part or the other (the motor controller or the PCB board in the Pro Logic).

HI
i have an older model SP3200VSP and i see an error code 66 in the display.
Do you think this will work?
thank you
Hi John, error code 66 indicates that the user interface is receiving an error from the motor/drive that it does not understand. Contact Hayward Technical Service at (908) 355-7995 to be certain the control interface is the issue. If it is, the Hayward Digital Control Interface Assembly - SPX3200LCD will be a perfect replacement for the one pictured on your Hayward TriStar VS Pump SP3200VSP.

i don't know if y'all are still operating, but i have a 2yr old superpump vs with an SPX3200LCD. the pump ran fine for a day, but i stopped it and now i'm getting "keyboard failure" errors: 118, 126 & 116 alternating. what happened, and can I fix it?

The "keyboard failure" errors 118, 126, and 116 on your Hayward SuperPump with an SPX3200LCD control panel indicate issues related to the control interface. These errors typically mean that the control pad is not communicating properly with the pump’s control board. The first thing I would try is turning the pump off at the breaker. Wait for 2 minutes. Turn the power back on and check to see if the errors persist.
