I just had a new pump installed and it is making a squeaking/chirping sound. Has anyone had this issue or does anyone know what might be the cause. Thanks, John

Hi John, A loud motor is normally due to bad bearings. I would get in touch with your installer or the manufacture to have them check to see if the motor is bad and if so have it replaced under warranty.

Can the piping be 1 1/2" since I am connecting to existing piping? Just trying to upgrade suction a little.

Hi, The Sta-Rite Max-E-Pro 1 1/2 HP Up Rate Std (P6RA6F206L) has 2" union ports, you will need a PVC reducer if you want to use 1-1/2" pipe.

what is the difference between sta-rite model P6RA6F206L AND P6E6F207L BESIDES PRICE?

A  Answered on 2/3/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi Lou, The P6RA6F206L is a standard pump which has a THP of 1.65 and the P6E6F207L ia s high performance, energy efficient pump which has a THP of 2.20. If you goal is to circulate a large body of water in a short period of time then you would use the P6E6F207L pump.

Hello, For what it looks like you have P6RA6F206L it's a A.O. Smith 1 1/2 H.P Square Flange Up Rate Motor - USQ1152. Which the cost of the motor is 164.99 and depending on shipping method, it's free for ground shipping (3-5 business days). If you would like 3 day it would be $21.36, 2 day would be $51.58, and next day air would be $78.41 for Alice, TX 78332. Please make sure to check the motor speck and see if they match to what you have now. Also if you are replacing the motor look into changing out all your seals with GOKIT79.

I have a Sta-Rite pump that has stopped working. What I have is a P4RA6F-151L pump. It has an A.O. Smith C48L2PA105 motor on it. What do you have to replace this. Also, do you have anything that is energy efficient. This motor was rated at 9.6/19.2 amps.

It is the same with or without the dash so the Max-E-Pro 1.5HP up rate is the correct replacement and yes, it comes as the complete pump.
