Joe, I was unable to find a heater that uses a gas valve with the part number VS8H2040. If you can provide us with the manufacturer and model number for you heater we can find the correct gas valve for your unit.

I've got a Jandy Lite 2 LG250N. The pilot light will not stay lit. Is there a place to check voltage and if so, what voltage should I expect?

Hi Charley, The Gas Valve should register above 220mVDC. You can find other troubleshooting info and steps in the Laars Lite 2 Installation and Operation Manual.

I have a Laars Lite LLG standing pilot heater which has this exact same R0096400 valve that needs to be replaced. There is a tag on it that indicates 3,000 - 6,000 ft., rated for the altitude here in Denver. Is there a way of selecting the altitude option if I was to purchase this valve from your website? Or is this R0096400 valve as shown for use at sea level only?

Hi, Jeff. I was not able to locate an altitude specific gas valve for the Laar Lite LLG unit. This appears to be the only natural gas gas valve listed for the LLG models.
