Should I put some silicon grease on the o-ring when replacing, or even add some every so often to help cut down on leaks or extend life of o-ring? Thanks

How often is normal for the replacement of this O ring. It seems to stretch past usefulness in a years time.

Hello Stephen, There isn't a specific lifespan for the chlorinator o-rings. I would highly recommend using a this lubricant, Magic Lube O-ring Lubricant, to help extend the life of your o-rings.

I need a new Oring on the cover of my Hayward Chlorinator, but can't tell what the model number is. Can you help?
Bought this cover ring and installed it but I found that there is additional rubber gasket approx 5 5/8" in diameter located around the cap. Do you sell this ring or do I need to buy a new cover with this ring installed ?
Thank you,

I have used a PROTECH Cl 200-K Hayward Chlorinator O-ring (O-231V-2) and I am wondering if your Replacement Cover O-Ring for Hayward CL200 Chlorinator, Viton - CLX200K - O-231V would work or is the same?
Thanks

Hi Angela, the CLX200K will be a perfect replacement, or you can get the GOKIT55 which contains all of the o-rings for your 200-Series Chlorinator as well as some lubricant.
