Label on my filter valve is faded.
Hoe can I identify the valve positions?
Reply
Jim, If you look hard at the label on the "Waterway Top Mount Valve Clearwater/ Valve Lid Assembly" you can just make ot the 7 positions and their sequence. This link shows three pictures. The sequence is: bypass to pool, rinse, filter, bypass to waste, winterize, closed, and backwash.

After back washing the pool and returning to filter position , water pours out of the backwash hose opening on the filter. Would a new handle gasket fix this problem? If not what would you recommend?

Ken, Replacing the Valve Diverter With Gasket (600-9500) for this valve will fix your problem.

Hi Rick, You can only tell if the manufacturer lists it on the unit or contact Waterway with the unit serial number.

I have water coming out back wash ,I've replaced spider gasket twice and still same issue ,it's a pro line filter 7 position part#808-0043-N can I replace the 7 position valve or diverter w 6 screws and does it come w gasket already installed? I get very frustrated w this thing the gasket is 17 bucks each?? Any help

Hi Troy, You're not using the correct gasket. The gasket is not sold separately for this valve, you have to replace the Valve Diverter w/ Gasket (600-9500). You can also replace the Valve Lid Assembly (600-9600) or the entire valve, WVS002 (prior 2001) or WVS003 (after 2001).

Sand keeps flowing in after I rinxe and then go to filter---am I missing something?
Reply
Michelle, most of the time when we see sand going back into the pool this is due to a broken lateral. Here is a Video on How to Replace a Pool Filter lateral which you may find helpful. Also, we wrote an article on Sand Going Back in My Pool which shows other items to check.

My multi-valve port WVS003 has two openings in the front of it but your replacement part only has one. Is this really the correct replacement for a 1-1/2" multi-port 7 function sand filter valve?

Keith, The WVS003 has a total of 3 ports. The waste port pictured in the image you are looking at it on the opposite side of the other 2 ports.

I have a wvs003 multiple valve. No matter what position it's in, water comes out of the backwash drain. What's likely the problem.

Most likely you have a bad spider gasket and you will need this WVS003 Diverter w/ Spider Gasket

Needing to know what kind of spider gasket I need to replace in my filter. It has water coming out of the backwash when it is on filter. I am including pics bc I dont know what model # it is. It has numbers on it but I'm not sure what u need
Hi Dj, The spider gasket is only sold glued into the diverter. For your Waterway Eco Kleer Sand filter, you will require this Waterway Valve Diverter and Spider Gasket

It has really been on it's last leg this year not wanting to engage back to filter after backwashing with water running out of the backwash hose, and then the handle snapped off. Just wanting to know what all I need to get it back ship shape. Thanks.

looking for the correct spider gasket replacement for this filter
Hello - the correct spider gasket replacement for your Eco-Kleer valve is the Valve Diverter With Gasket (600-9500)

I have water flowing out of the backwash when it should be closed. Seems like the quick and thorough fix would be to replace the entire waterway. Is this the correct part? Mine is a Proline Sand Filter with 808-0043-N marked on the top. See attached pics.
Thanks,
Hi, Guthrie. Yes, this is the correct replacement valve.

Is there a gasket associated with the cage assembly at the bottom of this valve head? The part that mates with the stand pipe?

Hi, Gbl. The Yes, the O-ring, Multiport (Split-Nut Style) - 805-0435 is associated with the cage assembly at the bottom of this valve head.

Not the gasket that goes in between the valve body and the filter body...but is there a gasket between the standpipe and the cage assembly at the bottom of the valve assembly? Where the PVC slips into the valve...
Reply
Gbl, There is NOT an o-ring / gasket located there.
