I need parts for my filter valve. When I look at the filter parts breakdown, it gives me different choices. How do I know which one is the one I need?

In order to locate the correct parts we will need to know the model number of the filter valve. Two identical filters can have two different valves. Typically the valve model will be located on the label of the valve. If there is no model number on the valve, you can try to see if there are any part numbers on the valve itself. Once you've located you valve model you can check out our >Filter Valve Parts.

I want to replace my Multiport valve, it is an American Multiport Valve attached to an American Titan Vertical Grid Filter model #582090. What valve should I order, also I want to replace the unions and o-rings hooking up to the filter.

If the plumbing going into your American Titan Vertical Grid Filter is 1.5" then you would require this valve here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07501352028073.htm and if the plumbing is 2" then you would require this multiport valve here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07501352028074.htm you may view the parts schematic here for the unions on your filter http://www.inyopools.com/pool_parts_titan_stainless_steel_d_e_.aspx

I have a American Products Titan DE filter w/ 2" inlet/outlet, so I believe this is the correct multipart valve assembly. My question is do I need to replace the whole valve or can I just replace the top lever assembly? This is where the valve is leaking water. Thanks.

Hi, Trip. That's possible but we will need to know the model number of the valve that you currently have in order to locate the correct parts.

I am looking for this multiport. I see it is discontinued and out of stock, I there a generic alternative? Another option could be the gasket. The port I have is American products 987408.
Hello Paul, there may be another option for replacing your valve. If you utilize our online chat during regular business hours of M-F 9-6PM Eastern with your filter make and model number than we can confirm that for you. Also the 2in 5-Spoke Diverter Gasket (E-12-S 2") will be the correct replacement gasket for your American Product 987408 Valve. You will want to use Clear Silicone RTV 3 Oz. - 80050 for gluing the gasket into place as well.
