Will this work with a 20 X 40 inground pool?
Reply
Unfortunately this system would not work on an inground pool as the pump is not self priming. Inground pools need self priming pumps since the pump is above the pools water level. For a 20' x 40' inground Pool I would suggest a 1-1/2 HP Jacuzzi Magnum Pump with a L250 Jacuzzi Laser Sand Filter.

Hi Dave, The Jacuzzi Laser 16" Sand Filter W/ 1 HP Pump (94084953) can be installed on your Gibraltar Pool. The filter will require 140 lbs of sand.

I have a 15 x 4 foot above ground pool will this filter work for this?

Betsy, this 16" tank will work fine for your above ground pool. If you had anything bigger I would suggest going with a larger sand filter.

does it have a timer. an how many hours does it needs to be on i have an intex 18x 54x49 round pool

No, this pump and filter doesn't include a timer, we would suggest the P1101 Above Ground Pool Timer for this filter and to run the pump about 6 hours per day on an 18' round pool.

good morning........... I have an older pool with a jacuzzi sand filter model 250L-7, pump is a pentair 3/4 hp. My problem is that I keep losing filter prime after an hour or two of filtering. all new seals and O- ring installed, all bolts and were tightened...............this is driving me crazy........... filter and pump are about 10 years old..............is it time to replace.... for your help................. pool size is 16x32ft in ground.....3ft to 8ft deep...............

Hi, Raul. A suction leak is the main reason a pump can lose prime. Since you said that the seals are new within the pump then it could be the seals in a diverter valve, or the pump's drain plug which is overlooked. This Jacuzzi Laser 16" Sand Filter W/ 1 HP Pump is nor for an inground pool.

I have an above ground pool with 1.5" smooth hoses. Will they fit on this pump/filter?
Reply
Hi, Dave. Yes, you can use 1.5" smooth hoses with this system. If its flex pvc then it would require different connections.

replacing the jet pump with this equipment will be ok, the original jet pump was 3/4 hp , the new installation for the pump is 10 ft from the jacuzzi

Hi, Padin. We will need additional information on the installation including the position of the equipment and if the equipment will be below or above the jacuzzi water level.

Will this unit work well with an Intex 18'X4' above ground pool? Also will it come with the adapters to make connections?
Last but not least can I attach a vacuum system?

Hi, Richard. This system can be used with an 18' x 4' Intex above ground pool. This system does not include any additional connector to connect to an Intex pool. A vacuum cannot be attached directly to this filtration system.

Which unit do you recommend? That I can use with my pool plus a vacuum system

Hi I have a 12 ft octagon by 4 foot deep. Will this new Jacuzzi work with that? It is half in the ground with a deck. My pump is over15 years old. Not going to work for me this year.

Hi. We will need to know more info on how the system is plumbed and set up to confirm if this system will be sufficient.
