I have 2" pvc plumbing, however the ports on my pool pump are 1.5" female threads, what would be the correct union for this set up?
Reply
This union here would be the correct union, the 1.5" male threads on the union would screw into the 1.5" female threads of your pump and the 2" plumbing would slip onto the smooth 2" portion of this union. These unions make it very easy to remove your pump quickly and allows you not to have cut into your plumbing if you need to remove your pump.

I have an above ground pool with a Sta Rite DE filter PLD 50 I'm replacing pump with your NE6170B is this the right union?

Hi, Chris. Yes, this union can be used with the NE6170B pump. The PLD50 unit has 2" ports so you will have to use a reducer depending on the size pvc you're using.

I’m replacing a Hayward and have read the fittings are not the same? I have 1 and 1/2 inch fittings. I want to buy this today but don’t want to buy something that doesn’t fit.

This fitting is designed to thread into standard female threaded ports. Some Hayward pumps do indeed have that. If the ports are 1.5-inch inner diameter then these fittings will work.

Will this work on Hayward SP2607x10 ? ! have 1 1/2 in piping. I'm thinking about changing the existing male adapters to these on my pump. Thanks

We bought this pump in June, but our hoses won't screw onto pump. Pump ports bigger than Intex threaded hoses. Will these make the two connect? Don't understand if pump has 1.5" port to accept the 1.5" male threaded and it ends with a 1.5" slip, what good is it going to do?? Seems like you are just adding an extension piece. If this will not accept our Intex threaded hoses, please advise what will. Would really love to be able to use the pump! Thanks!

Is this a slip on that just screws to connect to my 2 inch pipe or do i need to use pipe cement too? Thanks!

Hello, You would use pvc glue to glue one end to the pvc then the other end screws on to the pump.

Just received the $139.00 pump , when I went to hook it up to my hoses they did not fit , my hose connection is larger than the new pump threads, which is much smaller ,how can I make this fit my hose ?

Hi Paula, If you purchased the PL1502 PureLine Pure Pro XL Above Ground Pool Pump then I would suggest these Hose Adapters which screw directly into the port of the pump and accepts various sizes of hoses and plumbing.

will this motor works or compactable to sp1510z1xehc?
Picture attached I use DE Filter
thanks
This BN25 1 HP Replacement Motor would be the correct motor. You will also need a Hayward Matrix Shaft Seal when you replace your motor.

Needing to verify the threaded male end, it's showing 1.5" is the the OD or ID of the threads? Thanks

Hello Travis. The CMP 1.5" MIP Union threads into a 1.5" female opening (threaded). The ID of the threaded male end is 1.5". The OD of the threaded male end is 1 11/16".

How do you connect this CMP 1.5" MIP,1.5 socket long union to my Hayward pro series sand filter model S244S to a Hayward SP0710X62 side mount variflow valve so I could easily disconnect during our cold winters and reconnect late spring or early summer. Any suggestions on other connections with other unions. Any video demo? Thanks.

Hi Rodrigo, We wrote this Article on How to Add Unions to Your Pool Equipment for Winterizing which should help. You would add 1 union to inlet side of the valve and 1 union to the outlet side of the valve. Also, I would add a union on each side of the pump as well.
