I was told I need a Pentair 2" check valve 263042. is this it? Also need Hayward tank adapter de2400pac2cs. Do you have one?

Hi Gretchen, this particular valve is not the Pentair 263042 Check Valve however we do carry the Pentair 263042 Check Valve. We also carry a Generic Version of the Pentair 263042 which will save you some money. For the Hayward tank adapter part # of de2400pac2cs can you double check this number as this is not showing as a good prat # with Hayward, please email us back with what you come up with.

I have a variable speed pump that runs at low RPM most of the time. This reduces check valve flow and causes spa waterfall to run at a trickle. Would the 2 lb spring pressure be too much to overcome at low pump speeds? Is a 0.5 lb spring available in this model?

Hi, Tim. A 2Lb check valve can be too strong for a variable speed pump running at low rpm's to engage completely. A 1/2 lb spring check valve will require less water flow than the 2lb.

Would this valve be good for a Hayward Super II 2 hp #SP3015X20AZ? I want to install before the pump to guard against losing prime? Could I also install a 2nd one before the in line chlorinator?

Hi Bill, You can use this in front of the pump just place it as far away as possible to hold water in the line. Normally you would not need a check valve here unless you constantly were loosing prime as this is a self priming pump. you can put a check valve between the pump and the chlorinator
