Will the PoolCleaner 2 Wheel or 4 Wheel Suction Cleaner climb my pool wall?
Reply
These cleaners may climb up a 1/4 of the way on the wall and will turn back down because of a flap mechanism on the wheel which helps it to keep from getting stuck and allows the cleaner to go in the reverse direction. Because this is a suction cleaner, it is only designed to clean the pool floor.

We have a 40 foot long by 20 foot wide above ground pool, would the 2 Wheel or the 4 Wheel Pool Cleaner work better than the other? The pool is about 4 1/2 ft deep. Does the 4 wheel come with 33 foot of hose too or longer? Can more house be ordered?
Reply
For a pool under 6' deep we suggest the 2 wheel Pool Cleaner. The 4 wheel cleaner is for pools deeper than 6'. The 4 wheel cleaners come with 33' of hose and you may purchase additonal hoses for both here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/07501352028024.htm

Is the 2 wheel Pool Cleaner that you sell the original or Next Generation model? I prefer the original which I understand will climb the walls while the NG will not.

Thank you for contacting Inyo Pools. The cleaners are the next generation version. Neither model of the 2 Wheel cleaner are not designed to climb the pool walls.

My pool is a 10,000 gal. deepest point is 6 feet do I need a 4 wheel pool cleaner or will a 2 wheeler be good enough?
Reply
The 2 wheeled cleaner would be just fine since the gallons are perfect for that cleaner. Also, the max depth the cleaner is "best" for is 6 feet, so you are good for that as well. If you get lots of leaves might I suggest a leaf catcher that gets placed between two of the sections of hose. http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02201321001425.htm This would help keep the larger debris from clogging up the pump basket.

How many gpm are required to operate the two wheel Poolvergnuegen model??
I am trying to size my pump and piping.
Thanks,

Reply
This product requires 22 -25 gallons per minute, a minimum of 1 ½ inch plumbing throughout the pool. Optimum wheel speed is 11-13 rpm, per the manual (I am assuming you have a suction side cleaner!). GPM will be important, but you will have to adjust for proper wheel speed anyway.

Hi Ron, You have to reduce the water pressure on your cleaner suction line. This is done by one of three ways depending on your setup. See our guide on "How To Operate The PoolCleaner" for more information.

It is recommended to remove during shock treatment because after consistently leaving the cleaner in during chlorine spikes, that could break down the plastic parts of the cleaner including the hoses.

if i have an in ground pool cleaner, what would be the benefits of having the pool cleaner 2 wheel cleaner,,, also would it clear the in ground nossels that pop up.
Reply
Hi, Daniel. If you have an In-Floor Cleaning System you are not required to use an alternate vacuum. I cannot guarantee the vacuum will clear the pop-up heads. It may, as it has a unique design to help guide the cleaner over uneven surfaces and strange shapes. If the In-Floor cleaning system is operating properly you should not need an additional automatic pool cleaner. You may keep a manual vacuum and hose on hand for quick clean-ups. This style allows you to have control of the movement of the vacuum.

Tried vacuuming as much as possible , but am sure some small amount will remain. Don;t want to put Pool Cleaner in if it will also be affected by the sand. Hello Don. You can absolutely operate the pool without the pool cleaner attached. It is recommend that if you are using a wall connection, you have a Vac Lock on it when it is not in use. i would recommend the Vac Lock Wg (w400bwhp).

I recently purchased 2 a wheel "pool cleaner" from Inyo and noticed the last couple days that the cleaner has started hovering approx 3-4 feet above the pool bottom. Can you tell me how to fix this problem? Thanks.

Hello Gerald- There are a couple things to look for in this case. The first would be insufficient suction, I would just make sure there is enough suction for the cleaner to move and stay on the pool bottom. The second would be to check the position of the hose floats. And finally, make sure your jets are not pointing straight up.
