My CPSC16 has been running fine for 3 years, recently I'm getting a water fault reading, clearly there is water going through the system as always, even changed out the filter sand, what could be the reason.

A common problem on these CPSC units is lose connections on the cell side of the cable. Crimp the female leads SLIGHTLY that attach to the end of the cell so that the terminal connections are tight. Also check the salt level. If the salt level is below 2500 ppm, the Water Fault light will illuminate. And the light will also illuminate if salt has just been added and not dissolved completely.

What is the average life expectancy for the electrode

If maintained well they can last at least the 2 years they are warrantied for. Potentially even double that. Pool chemistry and cell maintenance play vital roles in the life expectancy of these electrodes.

I have a Compupool CPSC16 chlorinator, my salt level is at 3500. I get the salt level is low message. The system is at least 5yrs old. I cleaned the electrode but no change. I was told to replace the electrode. Could this be the problem?

Hi, You can try Calibrating Salt Readings on CompuPool Salt System using the instruction provided by the link. If that does not work you can then replace the cell.

My salt cell system is named "Comfort-Chlor" but the salt cell itself is numbered
CPSC16.... SN 038054
would your CPSC16 cell be a direct slide in replacement ?

Hi Dick, If you currently have an CPSC16 Cell, this electrode will replace it.

Salut Caroline. Oui, vous pouvez remplacer votre électrode CPSC18 par un CPSC24 si votre contrôleur vous permet de modifier la configuration de la cellule.

I have a Compu Pools CPA Series salt water chlorine generator and I need to replace the the cell my Manuel says that a genuine replacement cell for the Compu-Pool CPA150 is what I need to replace it, I have not been able to find this part, do you carry it or can it be replaced with a different one.

Hi, Betty. We do not carry the OEM Compupool electrode, you can use this Pureline CPSC16 replacement electrode.

I can see "fizz" coming off my cell, but I keep getting a Zero reading for chlorine level and it is set at 60%. I clean it regularly. Will a new one cure this issue?

Hi, Chris. Replacing the electrode may resolve the low chlorine level that you're experiencing. However, you may also need to check the CYA level of your pool's water.

I have a CPSC16 cell for our 30 foot pool 54" high. It is reading water fault. We have checked the connections. We took the cell out and cleaned it, it actually was quite clean. You can see it producing on and off. In your opinion do you think we need a new cell. And are they interchangeable with other cells. As when I was doing some reading I think the individual who installed out pool did no put in an adequate cell? Do you have any suggestions for us?

Hi, Toby. If you've confirmed that you have adequate water flow, and salinity level the cell will need to be replaced. You can replace your electrode with a higher capacity electrode.

I have a Circupool RJ20 Series Salt System purchased in 2012. Do you have any replacement cells that fit this unit. It looks a lot like the picture of JD363130B, but I'm not sure if that would fit . Thanks for your help.

Hello, They are not compatible. Circupool and Compupool do not have interchangeable parts.

My Compupool CPSC16 has the Water Fault light on but water is flowing through the cell and it is clean. Water temp is 69F. What could cause the light to be on?
Thanks.

Hi Gavert, Here are the common solutions if your Water Fault Light is on... WATER FAULT LIGHT ON - The Water Fault Light will illuminate on several conditions. Check the following:a - Salt just added - The Water Fault light may turn on if salt was added but not completely dissolved before the CPSC unit was turned back on.b - Salt level too low - The Water Fault light will illuminate if the salt level is below 2500 ppm.c - Inadequate flow - Check the filter, skimmer and pump strainer baskets to make sure nothing is restricting water flow. Also check the settings of your diverter valves to make sure they are not cutting off all or most flow.d - Loose cell plug - Make sure the cell plug is attached tightly. See Step #15.e - Loose wire connections - Crimp the female connections slightly to tighten the fit around the connection terminals.

How do you clean the CPSC16 electrode? I lost my booklet. Our pool has been down for about 1 1/2 yrs. Kept it dry while down. Would like to try different things before buying a new one.

We currently have a compu pool cpsc 16. Is it possible to move up to the CPSC 24 with only changing the cell or does it require and entirely new system or housing? It seems like we are always running at 100% and our cells never last more than 1.5 -2 years.

Hi. You can replace the CPSC16 with the CPSC24 electrode. You will just have to reprogram the controller tp the CPSC24 setting.
