Will this replace my whisperfloWFE-12 serial #05 00-2434 3-hp pump?

Yes this can replace a whisperfloWFE-12. The plumbing ports are not in the exact same location so you may have some minor re-plumbing.

I have a in ground pool, about 15,000 gallons I think. It is a 15 X30 and 5 feet deep. I am looking at this 3 hp motor but it is a 2" and my pipes are 1 1/2 inch I need some advise

I can help you with that. Please provide the distance in feet from the pump to your skimmers in your pool. Also, provide the model of your filter. This will help me calculate the flow rate your system can handle and help me recommend the correct replacement pump for you based on the flow rate.

Hello Clint- For your size pool a 3HP pool pump is going to be really over-sized. You would only require a 3/4 HP pump. If you decide to go with the 3hp you would have to replumb your system for 2" to allow enough volume for the water to flow. If not you could burst your PVC.

Is this a variable speed pump? My pool guy said that if I buy a pump online, it voids the warranty. Is this true?

Hi Marsha, No the PL2604 is not a variable speed pump. Here is the Variable Speed 2.7 HP PureLine Prime Pump which is the variable speed equivalent to this pump. Purchasing this pump Online does NOT void the warranty. This pump comes with a 1 Year Warranty.

I have a Hayward sp3400vsp that burnt out after only 2 seasons will the 3hp pl2604 be an exact replacement.

Hi Bill, The PL2604 will work as a replacement for the SP3400VSP but the pumps are different. The PL2604 is a single speed pump which runs at 3450 RPM's or 3 HP. The SP3400VSP is a variable speed pump which runs at full range of RPM's between 600 - 3450. The plumbing ports are in different locations meaning that if you go with the PL2604 you will have some slight re-plumbing.

I have a failed sta-rite max-e-pro 3hp-230v unit that I need to replace. Will the Pureline pump be an appropriate replacement? I realize that some adjustments to the existing piping will probably be needed on my end.
thank you

Hello, this pump has a lower flow rating than your current pump. Due to this, I would recommend sticking with your current unit to get the performance you are currently getting.

I have a hayward Super II pump at 3 horsepower is this an adequate replacement for it?

Hello, Can you provide pictures of your current motor ? We will need to know if your motor is full rated or up rated.

Here are 2 photos of my existing 3 hp pump I believe its a Hayward Super II Pump single speed at 3 hp. Wanted to know if this would be a replacement for that pump.
Hi, Gary. This Pureline Prime 3 HP Pump - PL2604 will not be an equivalent or suitable replacement. You will lose performance and see a reduction in water if you switch. I would recommend the Hayward Super II Pump 3 HP Single Speed - SP3025X30AZ which will be the direct replacement.

Is this compatible with a DE 60 sqft filter with 150 GPM

Hi, Donna. It's possible. However, in order for us to confirm, we will need to know the Total Dynamic Head (TDH) of your pool.

What replacement do you recomend
Hi, Brad. This Prime Pump is NOT a suitable replacement. The replacement options are the TriStar Pump 3 HP - SP3230EE, Whisperflo Pump 3 HP - WF-12 or the Super II Pump 3 HP - SP3025X30AZ.
