Reasons to Replace the Star Clear Plus Lid
- Locking knob no longer tightens
- Lid is cracked

Things You’ll Need
- Locking Knob – CX1750G for the C1750 & C1900 or the CX900G for the C751, C900, C1200
- Knob Cone Kit – CX900DA (Fits All Sizes)
- Filter Body O-Ring – CX900F
- Magic Lube
Steps to Replacing the Lid
- Turn off the pump at the breaker
- Open filter’s air relief valve
- Remove the lid from the filter
- Turn the lid upside down, then remove the white cone.
- Remove the metal C-clip with a flathead screwdriver to release the knob
- Remove plastic washed underneath C-Clip
- Turn lid right side up
- Remove the knob from the lid
- Lube knob o-ring, then slide the gasket into the kob stem’s gasket groove
- Slide plastic washer on the knob’s stem base
- Insert the knob into the lid, then set the lid upside down
- Place second plastic washed onto the knob stem, on the inside of the filter
- Snap c-clip into place, flush against the washer
- Place Cone over knob compartment
- Remove old lid gasket, clean gasket groove with cloth
- Lube the new gasket, then slide it into the lid’s gasket groove
- Re-install lid onto the filter housing
