Large SS Niche, 1" Rear Hub, Fiberglass/Vinyl - 78232500

Niches are formed of stainless steel with brass fittings. All niches have internal and external grounding lugs and can be used with either metal or PVC conduit.

Additional features include:

Stainless steel housing
Brass hub; 1/2, 3/4, or 1 in.
Internal/external bonding lugs
Vinyl niches with chrome/brass sealing rings
Niches for all installations
Sandwich gasket for vinyl
Powder coated sealing ring (optional)

What are the dimmensions of this niche?

The ouside diameter of this niche is 12.5" and the inside diameter of the niche is 9.86" the depth is 8.02"

What is the difference between a niche and a light?

A niche is a housing that is permanently mounted in the pool wall, while the light is a “fixture” that is secured into the niche.

Hello Bill- Unfortunately no, the Stainless Steel Fiberglass/Vinyl Pool Niche 1" - 78232500 is for fiberglass and vinyl pools only.

I'm installing a fiberglass pool and like the intellibrite 5G lights. Which niche should I use? I found instructions for spabrite and aqualite niches. But it appears the intellibrite doesn't have instructions for fiberglass pools.

    Thanks for the quick reply. In the documents section for this niche it only shows install instructions for concrete and gunnite pools. Can you direct me to instructions for installing this niche in a fiberglass pool.

How is the Stainless Steel Fiberglass/Vinyl Pool Niche 1" - 78232500 fastened to the metal wall panel in my pool I’m installing? When I cut the metal wall panel how does the niche get installed.... from back side of the pool or from inside the pool?

Jack, it sounds like you are trying to install this light in an above ground pool is that correct?

I was replacing my pool liner and decided to replace the pool niche as well.

I removed the screws of the previous niche and had to cut the solid 1 inch pipe that was going to the junction box. I attached the new niche to my pool hole along with the gaskets and screwed it in place. I also installed a new 1 inch PVC pipe from the niche to the junction box.
