I have an approx 21,000 gallon inground pool. Dimensions are 30' x 15', 8 ft in the deep end, 4 ft in the low side, no bottom drain, 1.5 inch plumbing, a DE3620 filter with a Hayward 1 hp Max Flow pump. Model# C48K2N143B3 that I need to replace. So I was looking to upgrade to a 1 1/2 size Hayward Max-Flo II. Do I have the correct size HP for this size pool or would the 1 1/2 HP motor benefit me more?? Any recommendations are greatly appreciated.

With the information you have provided then I would suggest going with the 1 HP pump. You could either replace your motor with a 1 HP motor here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/00200017001331.htm and tune up kit here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/00500022000633.htm Or replace the entire pump with the 1 HP Max Flo II here http://www.inyopools.com/Products/02200018047460.htm $289.99 The reason I suggest the 1 HP over the 1.5HP is as follows, you will want to have a pump which can circulate your pool (21,000 gallons) within 8 Hrs., with this being said you would want a pump that can output at least 45 GPM's. Secondly you will want to make sure your filter can handle the output of your pump, your DE3620 filter can handle up to 72 GPM's. Lastly you need to make sure that your plumbing can handle the output of water from the pump, 1.5" plumbing

I am working on the family pool that has been in disrepair for about 5 years. I am looking to replace the filter pump. The filter is a Hayward s-200 and the previous pump was a 1 HP 3450 RPM Ao Smith motor. I do not know the dimensions of the pool, but it is a kidney shaped pool, approx. 22,000 gallons, 9 feet deep on the deep end, 3 feet on the shallow end with the drain on the floor of the deep end. Will the Hayward Max-Flo II Pump work for me?

Yes based on the information you supplied the 1 HP Hayward Max Flo II would be a great option for your pool. When sizing a pump the two main things you want to do is to make sure the filter can handle the output of the pump and S200 will be able to handle output from this Max-Flo II pump, and you also want to make sure that the pump will turn your pool over in an 8 hr. timer period and this pump will do this based on the specs. provided.

Hi The Hayward MaxFlo XL Pump 1 HP 115/230V - SP2307X10 can be used as a replacement for this Max-Flo II pump.

Is it possible to still get a replacement filter basket for sp2707x10? Or is there something else that fits?
