what is a good replacement pump for a flotec pool pump AT 251001-01
Reply
Hi Charles, I am showing that the flotec pump AT 251001-01 is for an inground pool, if this is the case then I would suggest this 1 HP Inground Pool Pump.

(5 out of 5 stars) An easy swap. Very quiet.

Pros: Direct replacement for the one we had.
Cons: None - so far.
We have a 10,000 gallon IN-GROUND pool that was built in the late 80s. Although this is classified as in above ground pump, per Hayward, as long as the water line is not over a few feet lower than the pump and since this pump is self-priming, we could use it. Besides it was a direct replacement for what we had. The one we had appeared to be original...so 20 years is pretty good.... It was a 15 minute job to swap them out. Nice and quiet. Primes in 5 minutes - max. Does a great job of keeping our small inground clean and clear.
