I have a small drip from the plug on my HRP 30-01 sand filter and I see it is no longer available. when I remove the plug to either add teflon tape or replace the O ring, will I loose any of the sand?

Hi, Michael. Removing the center 1/4" plug will allow water only to drain from the tank. Remove the complete plug will allow water and or sand to drain from the tank.
