Hi Paul the Pureline Prime is up rated, we would suggest the 2 HP PureLine Prime Pump as a replacement for the Whisperflo 1.5HP full rated pump

Hi Donna, This PureLine Prime 1.5 HP pump is not a compatible replacement for the Pentair WF-26 pump performance wise. The Prime pump is a medium head pump and the Whisperflo pump is a high head pump. You can read our "Which is Best: High Head or Medium Head Pumps?" for more details.

Old Pump Failure The Day We Left For Vacation!!!

Written on 4/28/2021 by Guest

My wife and I were leaving for a 10 day vacation to Lake Tahoe. I went outside and checked the pool before we left. To my horror, our old pump was not running! I checked the circuit breaker, connections, timer box.....this pump was dead! We had to leave within the next 10 minutes, so there was no time to look into it further.

When we got to Lake Tahoe, I got online and ordered a new Purline Prime Pool Pump .5 HP from INYO Pools. I let then know we would be on vacation and returning at a given date.

The ordering was very smooth and the day AFTER we returned from vacation, the pump arrived!!! Yes!!! I removed it from the box and checked it out. Perfect condition and all parts / manuals were there!

I got all the necessary tools out to perform the old pump removal. I measured what lengths I needed for the new connections to the PureLine Pump. I cut the old PVC pipes and removed the old pump.

I lined up the new pump and PVC and did a "dry-fit" to make sure the lengths were good. Then I primed the connectors and glued the pieces together. You really have to pay close attention to the sequence of putting pipes together where existing pipes will meet the new. Watch plenty of videos on your favorite online channel.

This was my 1st time replacing a pump and working with PVC and I was really careful not to let the glue get too "hot" before making sure the connections were seated. If you wait too long, the glue starts drying and that can be a problem if you do not connect them in time. Luckily, only 1 joint that I was connecting started to bond and I had to really force it down fast. Just in time!

All in all the pump installation went great. DIY is easy if you plan it all out and are careful with the details. Read the pump manual, get acquainted with the parts and diagrams before you start.

This all happened 2.5 years ago and the PureLine pump has been performing perfectly.

Pump went out

Written on 8/10/2020 by Guest

We replaced our pool pump with the Pureline 1.5 hp pool pump. The new pump lined up perfectly, nothing extra was needed. Once the pump was set and we turned it on everything went back to working as it should. With no problems. Thanks again Inyo Pools. I will definitely continue doing business with you.

Thought our pump was broken

Written on 8/27/2019 by Guest

Our inground pool pump would not turn on. My husband was unable to get the pump apart. Our son came over to replace the pump and found a disconnected wire. He connected it and it worked...LOL... We decided to keep the new pump as our pump is about 6-7 years old, so we will be ready if it breaks.

Old pump seized up. Replaced with new

Written on 5/28/2019 by Guest

Started looking for a direct replacement of my old pump. I contacted INYO Pools on chat and they advised they carried the PureLine Prime Pool Pump 1.5 HP as a direct replacement.

Ordered the pump. Super fast shipping. Pulled out all kinds of tools thinking I was in for a long haul. Start to finish maybe took 45 minutes to swap this pump for my old one.

Shut off the power in breaker box - the old pump and unscrewed the fittings to the inlet and outlet. Wired in the new pump (3 wires). Hooked the external ground to the casing. Screwed in the new fittings into my new pump. Left the female fittings on the old PVC to hook to my new fittings.

Primed the new pump. Turned it on. Shut it off due to small leak in new fitting. Tightened with a pipe wrench. Turned it back on and it works GREAT!! 45 minutes tops!!

Pool Pump Seized and Required Replacement

Written on 4/28/2019 by Guest

I went online to INYOpools.com and selected a replacement per their recommendation.

Upon delivery, I opened the box, read the instructions to determine a course of action and began disassembling the old pump. The old pump came apart easily and then I began prepping the area for the new pump. I measured and adjusted the inlet PVC and then the Outlet PVC and then began attaching the electrical wires. All in all, it was a simple task following the instructions. I primed the pump, the system came up and functioned as advertised.
