Can I use the EZ Patch to eliminate leak around the steps?

If the leak around the steps is from a leak in the liner, then you can use the EZ Patch to help resolve the leak problem around the steps.

Do I have to drain the water in the pool to use the EZ Patch or can I use it in the water, without draining the pool, as my hole is under the water level?
 Reply

A  Answered on 8/30/2012 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

The EZ Patch is made to be used above or below water and therefore you do not have to drain the pool water.

We have an inflatable pool slide. The vinyl at the pool part is separating from the nylon steps going up to the slide. Would this product be able to repair this problem? If not is there something else you would recommend?

The EZ-patch 28 should work for the tiny tear or separation in your vinyl side. It usually cures completely within 48 hours. If a patch is needed due to heavy water flow, use EZ Patch 28 and the glue and apply the  clear vinyl patch that is included.

Will EZ 28 seal leaks in silicone hoses like the Ray-Vac/Jandy Energy Sweepers?
 Reply

The Ez patch 28 is made to seal holes or small tears in Vinyl, Trying to use it on a silicone hoses is not recommended as the durability may decrease.

Is there an easy to find a leak?
 Reply

A  Answered on 7/1/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Megan C.

Hello. Finding a leak is never going to be simple. I would best recommend to ensure it is a leak vs. evaporation. If you are 100% you have a leak you can check into purchasing a leak detection kit for doing it yourself. You may also contact a professional to complete the leak detection for you. You can search Google for swimming pool leak detection kits, as we do offer them on our website.
