How much for shipping to canada.H7p6e7 zip code

Yannick, We're unable to ship the Pentair Heat Pump UltraTemp 108,000 BTU outside of the continental USA, you will need a Freight Forwarder to get it into Canada.

What is the weight of the unit? What kind of base does INYO or Pentair recommend to put the unit on?
Reply
Hi, the weight of the Pentair Heat Pump UltraTemp 108,000 BTU is approximately 300lbs. Per Pentair's owners manual, the heat pump would need to be installed on a level surface. You can use an equipment pad or other materials, like pavers or blocks, as long as the base is stable and will not deteriorate over time.

Hello- What size heat pump would I need for a 15,000 gallon inground? We have a deep-end going to 6.5ft and a shallow tanning ledge but in total 15K gallons (15x35).

Hi, Lauren. I would not recommend a unit smaller than a 108/110K BTU unit, you can always use a bigger unit which will heat the pool faster.

How big and amps do I need for about 5000 gallon in ground pool ? My pool company says 96,000 an
d are trying to sell me a tropical one for 3000.
Reply
Hi, Don. A 5,000 gallon pool depending on the location, desired temperature, and heating rate can use a 50K-100K or higher BTU unit. If they are recommending a 96K BTU unit, that requires like a 50 amp 230 volt breaker. This 108K unit will also be sufficient.

Heater is working, cannot increase the temp. It will decrease temp only.

How much room around the unit must be free of shrubs, fences, etc.? Do you have a list of approved installers in or near the 20878 zip code (around Rockville, MD)? How much might a typical installation cost, excluding electrical? Thanks. -- Mike

The heat pump must be placed to provide clearances on all sides for maintenance and inspection. 1. At least 24 in. [61cm] access must be available in the front and 24 in. [61 cm] on all the other sides of the heat pump for service and proper air flow, see Figure 2. 2. If the heat pump is to be installed under a cover or under a vertical overhang, the unit must have a minimum of six (6) feet [1.83 m] clearance from the top of the heat pump. 3. Install a minimum of five (5) feet [1.52 m] from the inside wall of the pool or spa unless the heat pump is separated from the pool or spa by a five (5) foot high solid fence or other permanent barrier. Canadian installations require a minimum of three (3) meters from pool water.

We want the best ultra temp heat pump Pentair model that draws the lowest cfm of air because our plan is to install the heat pump's air intake grill inside our 6,400 cu.ft. wind-free R2 clear structure and have the top of the unit exhausting to outside the pool enclosure without any obstructions. We are in Springfield, MO and will use the pool year round and, if need be, buy an Ameri-Dome Heater to increase the ambient temperature and bring in 530cfm air. Please advise on Pentair cfm intake
Hi, FR. We do not have the CFM rating of the UltraTemp Heat pumps. Pentair was also unable to provide us with this info.

I have a easytouch and the instructions to connect this heat pump are not clear, do I wire from the gas heater terminal which is 2 wires, to which spade connectors since there are 3 terminals , spa/com/pool ?
Reply
Hi, Tom. If your EasyTouch software version is 1.11 or higher, you can use the RS-485 communication connector using Pin 2 and Pin 3. Otherwise you will have to use the Gas Heater terminal on the EasyTouch to the 3 Wire Remote Terminal on the Heat Pump control board.

How fast should the heat pump bring temp up to a reasonable pool temperature

Hi Charles, there are a few variables to consider when calculating pool heating time. Here is a guide that we put together called "How Long Does It Take to Heat a Pool?" that may assist in calculating that.

Will the Pentair 110 work for a unground pool with 35,000 gallons of water in lower Michigan

Hi Dave, the UltraTemp 110K BTU model may have some difficulty heating the water so I would suggest the UltraTemp 143K BTU model.

Can i use this pump in 17000 gallons pool
Reply
You can, but we might recommend something a little larger. Check out our guide on How to Select an Inground Pool Heater to be sure you don't need a larger one. An easy way to estimate the temperature rise (and the correct size for your pool) is to calculate the surface area of your pool and check it out against the temperature rise on the table in the link.
