I need to replace my the capacitor on my 1.5HP pool pump. Do you carry the capacitor I need?

Please note that capacitors store an electric charge and should be handled with the utmost caution and care. We do not encourage handling a capacitor without any type of safety measures in place and highly recommend contacting a professional service company for repair/replacement. For those that feel comfortable changing the capacitor here's >How to replace a pool pump capacitor. In order to match up the capacitor you will need more specifications on the capacitor. You will need to match the voltage, the MFD, whether or not the capacitor is a >run or >start type and the actual dimensions of the capacitor body.

Yes Chris, Sounds like the capacitor. You will need the UF or MFD number off of your capacitor to identify the correct replacement.

No, stay with the same rating on your capacitor. Unfortunately there is no way to determine why you have gone thru 2 lately. It should have nothing to do with the change in voltage as the mfg chose that specifically for the dual voltage motor. Your motor windings could be going bad/weak, it could be the new capacitors themselves.

I have a Hayward 1 1/2 horsepower pump that was converted to 208v (not by me); this capacitor is rated @ 110v, so I'm wondering if I should be replacing this capacitor with another model. Of course, the pump had been running for quite some time without problem, so perhaps the capacitor @ 110v is not an issue?
