I see a small bead on one side of this replacement gasket. Does the bead go against the rim of the fixture or facing out toward the water side of the len

This gasket wraps around the lens. As long as it is on evenly and on a cleaned off lens then it does't matter because as its clamped on the seal will be created.

Is gasket SPX540Z2 proper replacement for PUREX pool light housing Model 425?

My older pool light fixture is Pentair. The ring has 61-4600 on it. The glass lens is 8" in diameter. The old gasket is 7 3/4" in diameter. Do you have the replacement for this gasket? I also need a 100W 12V bulb.
Thanks.

The part number for the clamp cross references to the Pac Fab Hatteras Pool Light. The original lens has been replaced with the Lens, Clear (spx0540z1) and will use the Gasket Lens Hatteras (614516). The replacement bulb is the Bulb, 12v 100w Flood (br30cl100/12v)

Team...I have a really old light which I restored like new, but needs the gasket. I guess the company is now Pentair, but it is a Purex Model 100-5 (500W). The lens is 7.5" OD. The old gasket wrapped around both sides of the lens, one side seats against the lens, the other side against the ring. Has 6 screws that fastens the ring against the body. This looks like the right gasket. What do you guys think? Big thanks!

Hi, Scott. The 400W Flood R-40 120V - NA704 and this Lens Gasket - SPX540Z2 are the parts you'll need for the CHD Fixture.

Hi, Denis. This gasket will fit the Purex CHD and Poolstar Fixtures. If you can provide pictures of your fixture, we can try to identify the light.

I have old pool star light serial #H738982 installed in a 30K gal pool. I have not opened up the fixture and don't know what I need in a replacement bulb or gasket but would like to have them on hand before attempting the replacement. Please point me to the correct gasket and bulb.

Roger, we are unable to suggest a replacement bulb without the wattage and voltage of your current light. The serial number did not reference any of that information. Please let us know the wattage and voltage so we can find the correct bulb replacement.

Hi. Is it possible to use a glue or sealant on 540 z2 gasket and joining surfaces then locking ring to stop water from leaking into
fixture. Thank you.

We would not recommend that, since it would make servicing the fixture difficult in the future. We do recommend replacing the gasket each time the light is serviced and using a little lubricant on the new gasket. This will ensure a good, long-lasting seal and will make any future bulb replacements easy.
