Is this controllable by a Jandy RS8 automation system, i.e. is it Pentair Intellibrite 5G compatible so I can control the colors via the automation rather than by toggling the power on and off?
Reply
Hi, Peter. This bulb can be controlled by a Jandy RS8 by turning the light circuit on/off using the RS8 remote.

What's the difference between PL5809 and PL5859?

The PureColors V2 uses a higher quality material for the bulb housing meaning longer bulb life. The new housing design on the PureColors V2 means lower heat dispersion resulting in longer bulb life. Stronger base screw-in base

Will the color changing bulb come with a remote to change colors or does a special wired switch?
Reply
Hi Allen, There is not a remote for this light, the light is simply controlled through a standard light switch. When you turn power on and off to the light then the light cycles through the various colors. No special controller is needed.

I have 2 lights in my large pool that are set on a timer. If I opt for the LED color lights they will be powered on automatically as I would just be replacing the bulbs. What are the odds that the light colors on 2 separate light fixtures would have the same light pattern(color rotation)?

Hi Allen, As long as the lights are on the same circuit (i.e. turn on and off together), then yes the two lights will synchronize together. I like these lights as when you power the light on and off quickly then you cycle through the various color shows. When the light is powered off for more than 15 seconds then the light has memory so the next time the light is powered on then it will come on in the last color show you selected. For example say you like slow color fade, once your timer cuts off at the end of the night the next time the timer powers the lights on than the color show will start up in slow color fade.

Would the PL5859 120V 35W Pool Color V2 fit in my SP-540-Z-I LG? my fixture housing has a bulb type of R40 with a Fix. Mod. SP-543-L
Reply
Hi, Patrick Si. Unfortunately, we do not carry an LED bulb that is compatible with the Mod. SP-543-L. You can replace your current fixture with the Hayward DuraLite Fixture.

are any of the pure line bulbs compatible with the Jacuzzi Full Moon

Hi, Michael. They're not. The ColorSplash LXG Series LED Pool Bulbs are compatible with the Full Moon fixtures.

Hi, I have a older pac fab pool light model 60-XX5X. I would like to know if this LED light will work with my housing? I have measured the light bulb dimensions provided on your site and compared to my housing and it looks like it would fit. If you feel as though it wouldn't work could you suggest another LED color changing bulb available on your site that would?
Thanks, Scott

Hi, Scott. Unfortunately, none of the LED bulbs we have listed have been tested in older fixtures like yours.

From the description, seems as if this will work. Just confirming this is the correct bulb for a Hayward SP0583 Housing
Thank you.
Will this work with my light (see image). Also, which Gasket do I need? What is the difference between PL5858 and PL5859?
I read that the Red color puts out 850 Lumens, How does the 35w model compare to a 300w incandescent (white) in Lumens output? aka will it be bright enough? Also, Is 12v considered to be safer than the 110?
Reply
Hi, Ceej. The white is equal to 2600 Lumens. A 12 volt fixture is safer than a 120 volt fixture. However, it requires a Transformer which converts the voltage from 120 to 12.
