Hi,
I have a pump model# Fw-8/011582, 2 HP, SF 2.60, 230V 60Hz, Max Amps 11.5, thermal protect KG code Gans self Priming Pump. which pump is compatible with my Pentair whisperflo?
thanks

The correct motor for the 011582 will be the 2 HP Standard Motor - Full Rate (B748, B2748). Also when replacing that motor you will need to change the seals. We suggest GOKIT32 or for a Salt pool GOKIT32SALT.

Hi, George. This motor is compatible with some Anthony pump model. However, the info that you provided is not sufficient to confirm if this is correct. Please email pictures of your motor label and pump so that we can better assist you.

hi thats the different on this 2 pool motors USQ1202 l and B859 motor
Reply
Hi guaranda, The USQ1202 has a narrower barrel of the motor, however, the face of the motor is the same dimensions. Normally both of these motors are interchangeable sometimes if you had wider barrel motor and you go with a USQ motor then a spacer is needed. Could you email us the make and model of your pump and then we could suggest the proper replacement.

Hi, Larry. If you reside outside of the state of California, you can replace your dual speed motor with this PL2859 - 2 HP single speed motor. There is not a kit available for your model pump, the seal will have to be purchased separately which are all listed on the Jandy Stealth SHPF & SHPM Series Pump (2008 - Current) parts diagram page. You will have to investigate what timer(s) you currently have and how it is programmed to determine when your low speed is set to engage.

What pump kit needed and your description on this model mentioned a hi/low switch. Do I need that since I run the pump on each speed? I don't manually switch from to one speed to the other. When the timer comes on in the morning it is set high speed running and the evening it is set for low speed.

trying to replace a burned out 1 1/2 hp sta-right motor with this one ........i have 2 red wires and a green( ground) supplying 230 volts... would i be able to connect them ?
its a 230 AC Volt hook up, the Green is your Ground so attach that to the Green colored screw in side the motor the 2 red do not matter which terminal connection on the motor it hooks up to as it has no polarity. There should also be a copper wire or could be green wire that attached to the outside copper lug to the motor, this is a chassis ground for surge protection please make sure to hook it up. Hope this helps

I have a pool pump motor that needs to be replaced. do you have something that will work?
Hi Charles, The motor on this page is NOT the correct replacement motor for the motor included in your photo. You will require this PL1072 3/4 HP Replacement Motor The reason I suggest the 3/4 HP is because you have a 1/2 HP full rate motor and this 3/4 HP Up Rate Motor has the exact same true HP as your 1/2 HP, so it will be the correct replacement. You will also need this Hayward Super Pump Seal Kit when replacing your motor. We have put together this Video on How to Replace a Pool Pump Motor which you may find helpful when you tackle this project.

Hello - the PL2859 would work but the drop-in replacement motor would be the 1.5 HP Square Flange 56Y Full Rate EE Motor - B2842. Both the B2842 and the PL2859 have the same total HP output but the B2842 is a little bit cheaper to run.

We have a WhisperFlo 011774 pump. The motor was replaced a year ago with a Century B2854, but this motor smoked last weekend. I'm wondering if this Century motor was under-powered, and that's why it burned up? (We have a 22k gallon pool + several water features and a waterfall)
Would the motor shown on this page be the correct replacement motor? (I'm all for energy savings, if there's a more efficient option - trying to make sure the motor is up to the job).
Hi, David. Based on the info from the original pump, the B2854 motor is undersized unless the impeller was also changed and this PL2859 is the correct replacement. Usually, an undersize motor wouldn't last more than a few minutes or hours of running. I recommend confirming the impeller size or number before replacing the motor again.

The impeller is: 25305-130-000 (Based on a quick internet search, that looks like the 2HP impeller, I think)
