The correct motor for the 011582 will be the 2 HP Standard Motor - Full Rate (B748, B2748). Also when replacing that motor you will need to change the seals. We suggest GOKIT32 or for a Salt pool GOKIT32SALT.

Hi guaranda, The USQ1202 has a narrower barrel of the motor, however, the face of the motor is the same dimensions. Normally both of these motors are interchangeable sometimes if you had wider barrel motor and you go with a USQ motor then a spacer is needed. Could you email us the make and model of your pump and then we could suggest the proper replacement.

its a 230 AC Volt hook up, the Green is your Ground so attach that to the Green colored screw in side the motor the 2 red do not matter which terminal connection on the motor it hooks up to as it has no polarity. There should also be a copper wire or could be green wire that attached to the outside copper lug to the motor, this is a chassis ground for surge protection please make sure to hook it up. Use the 2 center terminals on the new motor. L1 and L2. Connect the green to ground and the 2 other wires to the center connectors. Dont worry about which color it works both way.

I have a pool pump motor that needs to be replaced. do you have something that will work?

 Reply

A  Answered on 6/5/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Patrick P.

Hi Charles, The motor on this page is NOT the correct replacement motor for the motor included in your photo. You will require this PL1072 3/4 HP Replacement Motor The reason I suggest the 3/4 HP is because you have a 1/2 HP full rate motor and this 3/4 HP Up Rate Motor has the exact same true HP as your 1/2 HP, so it will be the correct replacement. You will also need this Hayward Super Pump Seal Kit when replacing your motor. We have put together this Video on How to Replace a Pool Pump Motor which you may find helpful when you tackle this project.

I just installed the new Pureline motor but I’m only getting a humming noise when I power on the pump (no water flow). Where do I need to begin troubleshooting? Thanks

Hi, TC. (1) Confirm that the motor is wired correctly (2) That it's getting the proper volts. Once those two things are resolved, call us if the motor still does not work.

The PL2859 is a suitable replacement motor for your WFE-28 motor, but the B2842 is also a possibility.

Just looking to see if this would be the proper replacement for my pool/spa motor which stopped. Working. Model# wfe-28 Part#: 011519 Volts: 208-230 Thank you.

Hello - the PL2859 would work but the drop-in replacement motor would be the 1.5 HP Square Flange 56Y Full Rate EE Motor - B2842. Both the B2842 and the PL2859 have the same total HP output but the B2842 is a little bit cheaper to run.

Hi, Ernie. We will need to know the motor info or the impeller # in order to confirm if this motor is the correct replacement. They're different type of 2 HP motors used with the Stealth Series Pump.

HI SO IV BEEN TOLD WE NEED TO REDUCE THE MOTOR SIZE FOR OUR INGROUND POOL FROM 2HP TO 1HP. OU SAND FILER RUPTURED AND ONCE REPACED SHOWED THE PRESSURE ON THE SAND FILFER TO BE AROUND 25PSI INSTEAD OF 10PSI. SO WE'VE CHANGED THE SAND FILTER AND THE MULTI=PORT TO 2". CAN WE SIMPLY REDUCE THE HP MOTOR.?

A  Answered on 9/4/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, Dean. You're unable to just downsize the motor without changing the Impeller, Diffuser and other components. We will need to know the make and model of the pump housing.

We have a WhisperFlo 011774 pump. The motor was replaced a year ago with a Century B2854, but this motor smoked last weekend. I'm wondering if this Century motor was under-powered, and that's why it burned up? (We have a 22k gallon pool + several water features and a waterfall) Would the motor shown on this page be the correct replacement motor? (I'm all for energy savings, if there's a more efficient option - trying to make sure the motor is up to the job).

 Reply

A  Answered on 9/6/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Lennox H.

Hi, David. Based on the info from the original pump, the B2854 motor is undersized unless the impeller was also changed and this PL2859 is the correct replacement. Usually, an undersize motor wouldn't last more than a few minutes or hours of running. I recommend confirming the impeller size or number before replacing the motor again.

The impeller is: 25305-130-000 (Based on a quick internet search, that looks like the 2HP impeller, I think)
 Reply

A  Answered on 10/4/2019 by InyoPools Product Specialist Hector F.

So based on that impeller part number your impeller is rated for a 2.5 hp motor which is too heavy for the B2854. With that motor, you will need impeller part number 5074-27B
