How many gpm

The GPM depends on the feet of head. At 40' of head the pump would push 78 gpm.

What is the wattage at 230V for this pump? I need to replace my old 1HP pump and I'm debating between this one and the Raypak PS165VSP as they are at the same price after rebate from SRP. Any opinion?

Hi Cyril this pump consumes about 1.72 Killowatts per hour (kWh) the Raypak Variable Speed Pump averages about 1kWh. You will normally run your pump 8 hours so the Super II will use 13.76 kWh per day vs. the Raypak Variable Speed using 8 kWh per day. If you live in California energy costs are roughly .17 cents per kWh so the Super II will cost you $2.34 per day to run or $70.17 per month to operate. The Raypak Variable Speed will cost $1.36 per day to operate or $40.80 per month to run. The Raypak VSP Pump would pay itself back in about 6 weeks which seems like it would be the way to go.

Would this be sufficient enough for a 10k gallon pool with a caretaker pop up head cleaning system?
 Reply

A  Answered on 9/30/2016 by InyoPools Product Specialist Alan M.

To answer your question, you will need to determine the minimum gallons per minute (GPM) that is required to operate your caretaker pop up system. You will also need to know the feet of head (How Do I Calculate Feet of Head for My Pool?). Based on the motor model SP3007X10AZ you can reference the chart on the product page Hayward Super 2 Pump 1 HP Single Speed - SP3007X10AZ, you can determine the pumps output of GPM to see if it will be enough to operate the caretaker system.

Hayward super pump II, Is there a difference in the seal plate with part number SPX 3020E and SP 3020E? what does the X stand for. My pump does not have the X in any part number. Thanks for your help. Gary

Hello Gary,This is a common misunderstanding. These two parts you mentioned are the same. The x denotes that it is a replacement part, hence why your original part does not have the x.
