I have a CPSC 18 COMPU-CHLOR II. Would you sell a cell for remplacement on this model? Otherwisez is it possible to adapt a CPSC24 or similar reference on mine ?
Reply
Hi,Compu-Pool does not make a replacement for your CPSC 18, You can use the CPSC 24 electrode for your system, you want to make sure if you decide to go with the 24 that you go into your maintenance settings on your control pad and change the amps from 15 to 20 for the cell to work properly.Best Regards Wes B.

Why don't you sell the grid and cable for a reasonable price together since that is where the failure is ?
Reply
Hello Bill - We do carry the complete cell. The part number is JD363130C-COMPL.

I have either polarity 1 or 2 on and the water fault is also on, the cell has just been cleaned and I still have the same problem, does this indicate the cell needs to be replaced ?
Reply
These faults often indicate that you have a loose connection at the head of the cable attached to the cell. Try slightly crimping the female connectors that attach to the three cell posts. If this doesn't work, give Compupool a call at 888-989-7258 and talk to one of their tech reps.

How to determine which model I have? No markings . It had a label, which has faded. Should I open the back of the computer housing? Will that help?
Reply
Hello Stan - You can count the blades on the cell electrode. The CPSC08 has 2, the CPSC24 has 5, the CPSC36 has 7, and the CPSC48 has 10.

Digital readout says " no water ". Pump is running , water passing through housing .
Reply
Stan- If you are experiencing a "no water" fault I would start checking with the Flow switch, then make sure that the filter is clean because that will also cause that to happen.
Reply
Filter is clean. Digital readout still says "no water " and I failed to mention last time , the "water fault " with red dot is on. Or should I say , still on. Thanks

Hi Stan, First check your pool's water flow. Is it flowing sufficiently? Do you have water in the pump? Are the baskets free of debris at the skimmer and the pump? Is your pool water level too low - below the skimmer. Is your impeller clogged? Then check the plug connection on your SCG. Crimp the female sockets that attach to the cell terminals slightly. Sometimes a loose connection will give you a false reading.

I need the part 3 on exploded view for a CPSC24, that is the head supporting cell electrode.
Do you sell it without the cell electrode ?
Reply
Hubert- The JD363130C CPSC24 Replacement Electrode would be the only way we sell Key #3. We do not sell it separately.

My pool service tech recently reversed the water flow for my cpsc24 so the intake is now the outtet. Is there any benefit to this? I want to be prepared for his answer. Will the system work properly like this?
Reply
Hi Paul, The CPSC24 cell has to be installed with the water flowing from the input port to the output port for the cell to work properly. It cannot be reversed.

I had an issue with my CPSC24 where the chlorine production had dropped quite dramatically. I couldn't see any visible difference between running the unit at 20% or 100%. Compupool Tech Support said it was time to replace the electrode assy. When I went to unplug the cable from the cell I noticed it was quite warm to the touch. I checked the connection and found corrosion on both the male and female contacts. I cleaned and applied conductive grease. Problem solved. Do you recommend using this?
Reply
Hi Doug, If the cell is now working you can still use it, but if you need to replace the electrode it will be the CPSC24 Replacement Electrode Only (JD363130C)

can i replace cpsc36 with cpsc24 electrode
Reply
Hi, You can, however you will have to program your system for the CPSC24 and will have to run the cell at a higher output which will lead to a shorter life span.

I need a replacement cell for a CPSC-24-AG Above ground unit. Is this replacement cell still available?
Reply
Hi Tom the JD363130C listed on this page is the correct replacement cell for both the Compupool CPSC24 inground pool model and the CPSC24AG above ground pool model.

It's time to replace the CPSC 24 and cable in our 8,500 gallon pool. Can I replace with the CPSC 16 electrode instead of the 24? Will I need to change any settings on the control pad to accommodate the smaller electrode?
Reply
Hi Dave, You would have to program the controller to accommodate the smaller cell electrode. You can contact Compupool at (888)-989-7258 for instructions.

CPSC24 Compupool Replacement Electrode Only is this the correct part for the rj-30?

Hi Dwayne, The Compupool CPSC24 Replacement Electrode will also work with the CircuPool RJ-30 cell..

I have a CPSC/CPA Series Salt Water Chlorine Generator by Comu Pool Products.
Please let me know when to replace the salt water chlorine generator by Compu Pool Products. The system keeps telling me to add more salt. I had new sample tested today and it was 3800 PPM. The pool is 24" round and holds 15,000 gallons of water.
Thanks in advance for your help!

By CPSC24 clear housing is cracked. The housing that holds the blade assembly. Do you have the replacement?
Reply
Hello Brady, Here is the Electrode Housing Body Clear - For Compupool Cell. This is what holds the bladed assembly. If you need the Compupool UV Housing Jacket that surrounds the Electrode Body Housing, we have that as well.

my system was working well but then suddenly the salt test started reading only 2500 PPM and the "Add Salt" light illuminated. I used test strips to determine that the salt was low so I added salt over a period of three days. The test strip registered low salt also. Now after adding salt I had the water professionally tested and the salt level is slightly high but the computer still indicates 2500 PPM and the light is still on. It appears to be generating chlorine also polarity light 2 never on?

Hi Mike, you can follow the "How To Recalibrate the Salt Level on a Compupool CPSC.for instructions which can resolve the issue with your system.

Hello,
I have a compupool CPSC 16 and the cell needs to be replaced. I was looking at replacing it with a CPSC 24 to allow for increased chlorine production. Is this possible?

It gives "no flow" how to repeare ?

Hello Jos, I would call CompuPool to recalibrate/troubleshoot the unit and check what part they would recommend replacing to better assist you with getting the best part to fix your problem.

Can I use a CPSC24 on a CPSC16 System . I think the system is to small always need to have it running100% for 8 hrs
Reply
Yes, I would recommend switching to the CPSC24 if you are having to run at 100% the whole time.

I have a cpsc24 it was just re installed for the season after being cleaned by our pool company. I noticed one of the connections to the one of the plates in the cell is loose and now the controller says low salt. Should I recalibrate or is this most likely the loose plate and I need a new cell?
Reply
Hi, Nick. I would first check the salinity level of the pool then recalibrate the unit. If that does not resolve the problem then it could be the cell.

I have a cpsc24 system at present. If I buy a cpsc36 unit is this compatable with my present system/

Yes you can use the CPSC36 cell with the CPSC24 system but you will need to set the cell size on your controller to CPSC36.

I've a compupool unit CPSC36, it is working fine but randomly the unit completely shutdown (no power) for about 30 secs - 1 min and then it comes back on, the main issue I've is that it resets the clock and thereby the timers get out of sync. I'm not sure what is causing this issue ?
Reply
Hi, Mo. It sounds like the issue could be the controller. You can use our How To Isolate and Correct Compupool CPSC Problems guide to diagnose the issue.

My Compupool CPSC24 has a low salt indication but a calibrated TDS meter shows 3500 parts/M. Also, I can only get six bars to show when I set salt to 100%. I just cleaned the electrodes with 1:4 Hcl and for a day it showed everything was ok. and then reverted to low salt and 60% level.

Hi, John. Your electrode may be failing and will need to be replaced.

Hi, Millard. This electrode can be used to sanitize a pool of your size using the Circupool Classic RJ30 controller. You will just have to make sure that the controller is set to the correct Cell Load.

Hi, Jean-Pierre. Yes, you can replace it with a higher electrode. You will have to change the electrode size within the controller.
