does this has a built in transformer so that i can replace the 120V fixture?
Reply
Hi, This light does not have a built-in transformer, you will have to have one installed in order to operate this light.
Reply
what are the dimensions?
Reply
We do not have the dimensional information on this yet but the light is compatible with the Hayward Astrolite SP058 Series and the Pentair Amerlite 784 Series. Note: Not compatible with Swimquip Light Fixtures or Hayward SP0540 series.

My Hayward SP0583SL lamp assembly will have to be completely replaced. I'm not sure where to measure but the glass globe is 7.5" . Will this lamp be the correct replacement size? Also my current lamp is 120v. What else will I need to use the new 12v system?
Reply
Hi, Tollie. You can use the PL5820 light fixture as a replacement, however, you will also need a transformer.

Hello James- The Pure Colors LED Pool Light Fixture 12V 30' Cord - PL5820 will fit into the same niche as the sp0527sled50, keep in mind that you will require a transformer to operate this light.

GOOD EVENING. CAN YOU PLEASE TELL ME IF THE MODEL PL5820 LIGHT FIXTURE INCLUDES THE LED BULB OR DO I HAVE TO BUY IT SEPARETLY. THANK YOU.

Hi Joege, Yes the PL5820 does include the LED Bulb and Light Fixture, so this is the complete light!

Hi, Laurence. Unfortunately, we will need to know the niche model to determine if this fixture will work.

Will this plastic light fixture with the notch at the bottom and single screw at the top match up with the older metal beauty rings?

If you are referring to the older stainless stain ring Astrolite then yes, the PL5820 will match up.

I have a 120V 500W max pool light I would like to convert to a 120V LED. the Model showes 60-xx5x 500W
The present bulb is 120V R40
The housing number is L279742.
What are my options?
Reply
How do I choose the right led light and fixture, I saw one that's a 12v and another 120v?
Reply
Hi Joe, If you are replacing an existing light fixture then you will want to look on the bulb of your current light to see if it says 12V or 120V. Another option is to remove the light fixture from the wall on the pool and then there will be a label on the back side of the light fixture that will tell you your voltage. If you see a Pool Light Transformer back by your equipment then you have 12V. If this is for new pool construction then we normally suggest 12V as it is a bit safer than 120V in my opinion.

I have an old Anthony Sylvan niche. Model 30 I think. Will this unit fit? Do you sell the transformer I would require? Thanks
Reply
Hi, Richard. I know for sure that the PL5821 is compatible with the Anthony Sylvan Niche, I'm not sure about the PL5820 without needing an adapter ring. You'll need the PX100 or PX300 transformer depending on how many lights you're using.

I'm installing a new LED light fixture, and a 12V transformer, is there switch that I can set the color I want to use?
Reply
I need a 100' and a 50' cord. Can I get this light with these length cords?
Reply
Unfortunately, that series does not come in 50 or 100 ft option. You would just need to purchase the Astrolite lights individually being models SP058150 and SP0581100, purchase the Purecolor bulbs separately then change the bulbs before installing back into the pool. The bulb part number is PL5808 for the higher wattage which I'd recommend for a pool light.

I have a Hayward Color Logic pool light SP0523 50w 120v. Has no serviceable parts. Can I install another brand with new housing and when the light fails, I can just get a replacement bulb without buying a whole new unit again? This Hayward light is 10 years old. I just need a light where in future I can just order a new colored bulb. Many thanks

Yes this would be your light as it will fit in your Hayward ColorLogic Niche and if the bulb ever goes bad then this light has a replaceable LED bulb meaning the entire fixture does not need to be replaced.

Hi, I am trying to replace a hayward unit SP0525LED30 at a more affordable cost, would this be compatible? Many thanks, Vern
Reply
Hi Vern, yes this would be a cost effecitve alternative to your hayward unit SP0525LED30. I am showing the Hayward SP0525LED30 is 120V where this light is 12V so you would need a Pool Light Transformer. I do like the Pure Colors light fixture because if the bulb ever goes bad it can be replaced, this is an easy replacement at a cost of roughly $150. On the Hayward Color Logic if the bulb goes bad you have to replace the complete light fixture, this is a more time consuming project and the complete light fixture is expensive at $600. Please note that if you have multiple lights in the pool they will all need to be the same brand and model if you want them to synchronize.

I have an older in ground pool with two Halogen (120 V) lights that I want to replace with (12 V) Color LED lights. I want to keep the niches in place and make sure the new LED light fixtures will fit. I don't know the manufacture as they aren't marked and I don't have literature. They are maybe Pentair (but not sure) and the label # on the bottom of the current halogen fixture is 98700600. It also says PAC FAB INC. The niche measures across (diameter) 5 1/2" I could send photo if it helps

Hi Bill, Yes if you could reply to this email with photos and include a measuring tape in your photos so we can see some of the key measurements. You can also send to upload@inyopools.com whichever is easiest for you.

I have a Hydrel 7033 installed in my Doughboy above ground pool. The light gave us many years of great service. However I know believe the transformer had taken a dump. What are my options for a possible lighting replacement. The pool, aside from a liner replacement 4yrs ago remains in great shape.
Is there anything out there that would accept my existing Hydrel 7033 opening? The housing remains in great shape.
