Hi, Michael. The pump you have is already a 2 hp model. You have a 1.5HP Full Rate model which has a total HP of 2.25. The next size up will be a 2.7HP. You will need the B231SE - Motor, Impeller / Diffusser / Upgrade Kit - SPX3020CKIT, Impeller Ring - SPX3021R, and Tune Up Kit - GOKIT2 or GOKIT2SALT. Only make this upgrade once you've confirmed that your system can handle the additional water flow.

We would need to know the specific motor model, part or catalog number to confirm. If you cannot locate that information then you can email images of the pump to upload@inyopools.com and locate the impeller part number so we can assist further.

Nathan, based on your motor model number, you will need the SN1202 motor. Be sure to replace the shaft seal when you replace the motor.

Hi,
Is this a suitable replacement motor for SP3015X20AZ. I currently have an Emerson T55CXJN-1348 2hp motor on there which locked up.
What else would be needed for repair overhaul while I'm in there. The pump operates a saltwarter pool/spa.

Thermally Protected AUTO Code G AMB c 50, Code 00D10 Made in Mexico EB809 , will replace myself if this one will work on my pool.
We ordered this pump motor from Inyo. I have the motor installed but, it didn't come with wiring instructions for 230V. I have a black, red, gree (ground).
No where on the motor is the typical 115/230v switch or instructions for wiring 115/230
Help!
Eric, For 230v, the white and orange wires should be connected to the A terminal. Since you have 230v, your black and red wires are 115v hot. So either the black or red need to go to Line 1 and the other to Line 2. Your ground would be attached to the green ground screw.

I bought this pump about a year ago. I have replaced the factory capacitor and another replacement one. Does being in Texas with hot weather play apart in these going out? Is there a heavier duty replacemnet for it. If not what is the exact replacement? Shortly after buying our house I had to buy a new motor. Maybe it getting different voltage than it need.

I presently have a Century Centurion motor with a Jandy PHPU 2.0 pump. The part is "8-193633-24" , 56J.
What is the correct replacement energy efficient motor?? Thanx.

Hi Tom, Yes as long as you are wiring your motor 230V then this PL2230 would be the correct motor. The 193633 had an option to 115v or 230v where the PL2230 can only be wired 230v. When replacing your motor you will also need this Jandy Stealth Shaft Seal. If you want to go with an extremely energy efficient motor than we would suggest this 2.7 HP Variable Speed Replacement Motor

The compositor is at the rear of the motor, will this one be a good replacement?
Mine just froze and i cant get it to turn.

The PL2230 would not be the correct replacement motor. The correct replacement motor for California is part number NPTT270.
