CPSC Series - Self Cleaning
ADVANCED SALT WATER CHLORINATION SYSTEM The CPSC Series is a high-performance salt water chlorination system that lets you enjoy perfectly clear pool water without the use of harsh chemicals. It is a safe, clean, easy alternative to dosing your pool with dangerous and expensive chemicals. How does it work?
Salt is added to the pool water, 0.35% - 0.4% salt content. This slightly salinated water then passes through the electrolytic cell and this produces chlorine gas, which prevents algae and purifies the pool or spa.Why Saltwater Chlorination?

Pros: Ease of installation
Cons: No numerical number for salt content on display, just Salt Low, Salt OK, or Salt High. Not a big deal but it would be nice to have a value.
Bought this as a replacement for a a previous chlorinator. If you can cut and glue pipe you can install it. Wiile the inlet and outlet on the bottom require a bit more precise pipe alignment it also means you can place it in a tight space. The electrical hookup was a snap as I was replacing another brand and the wiring was there. Even if it had not it would have been easy to tap into the power on the pool timer/pump panel. I had called and talked to one of the techs at INYO before ordering and he was very helpful. The turn time on my order was extremely fast. Excellent customer service.

Pros: Replacement unit fit well with the fittings in place.
Cons: Quality Control needs to be reviewed
I received the Equipment and installed it with no problem. When I started it the unit did not work. After several checks I had to remove the unit and take it apart to check the fuse. After removing the cover I found the fuse was good but the electrical strip to the LED read out was not conected. I connected the cable and restarted. The Unit started working and is OK. This could have been a major problem for someone who is less mechanically inclined.

(5 out of 5 stars) Compupool Salt Chlorinator
Reviewed By: Sailaway from Scottsdale , AZ ()
I installed this unit with no effort whatsoever, and has been working perfectly for several months. I have had the cell apart several times to de-calcify it, and the only drawback I can see is that the outer protective plastic cover is a little tricky to open. Other than that I've been very happy with it.

(5 out of 5 stars) Great Pool Sanitizer
Reviewed By: Robert F. from Cincinnati, OH ()
Pros: Great price
Cons: What should I do with my extra time?
I have been a pool owner for 22 yrs. My pool is an 18x36 inground. A coworker installed a similar device on his pool 3yrs ago and loves it. With other people recommending one, I decided to go shopping. I like this product because it has reversing polarity grids. This evens out the wear on the grids that produce the clorine. Not all generators have reversing grids. I found INYOPools.com and loved their prices. The other item I was comparing to was significantly more expensive. Be aware, the grid will have to be replaced after a few years service. This product has a great grid replacement cost which makes it fit right into my price range. The BEST part? If your pool has the right ph, alkalinity, and cyanuric acid (or very close) Install your generator, program it, and sit back and enjoy. I have had mine installed for 4 weeks now and have not had to add ANY chemicals in that time. I still use my test strips (had to buy strips to test salt level), but everything is staying where it should. We have had a hot summer so far and I haven't even had to use the superclorinator feature, even on heavy usage days. The water does have a different feel, but it is supposed to be good if you have a liner pool. To me and most of my friends, the salt level in the water IS perceptable, but nowhere near the levels found in the ocean. I have always had some issues with organic materials in the water, but my water is staying crystal clear. I got my pool salt from Walmart at an excellent price. Used 15-40# bags. I highly recommend this product to anyone with a pool.

(5 out of 5 stars) Great Alternative to a Chemical Pool
Reviewed By: Steven L. from Morganton, NC ()
Pros: Substantial savings over chemical pools.
Cons: None.
We purchased the CompuPool Salt Water Chlorinator as a replacement for an older unit that had malfunctioned. Having used the same model for several years, we wanted an exact replacement. This method of pool sanitization is wonderful. There is no chlorine to burn your eyes or bleach your pool liner and swimsuits. We can heartily recommend it.

(5 out of 5 stars) Chlorine generator
Reviewed By: Stephen G. from Louisville, KY ()
Arrived quickly from Inyo Pools. My son-in-law and I had it installed within an hour. Any reasonably skilled do-it-yourselfer should be able to install this easily. Minimal CPVC plumbing and one electrical connection and you are set. We put the salt in before we started and it showed "No flow" when we first booted it up. But that just means not enough salt in the water yet. I let the pump run with the generator off overnight. Next morning it read the salt and ran great. Superchlor set and ran for 24 hours. Sparkly water. It is so much easier that constantly dumping in chlorine.
